I really wish they would start giving points for all positions. The drivers fighting each other at the back should be rewarded if they are consistently beating the others around them and with the points structure now it just isn’t recorded that way

Williams made a massive mistake resigning Sargeant and not signing Liam Lawson. They might have only got 1 season out of Lawson, who is under contract with Red Bull, but points mean big money in F1 and every point counts.

Merc with a "bad" car last year, came P2 & Lewis P3. this year they have a much better car as per them, so Lewis/Russel so low down the order will most likely not happen.

I'm calling this now for my crazy prediction: In the impending silliest of silly seasons, neither Danny Ric nor Checo will be the second RB driver. It will be Carlos Sainz. They bring him back to be Max's teammate again, and become the strongest duo on the grid, in the strongest car on the grid, to wrap up 2025 with a driver's title 1-2, and 100% RB winning season, just before the new regs shake up the pecking order again in '26.

I think people are harsh on leclerc saying he’s prone to having a wobble from time to time. He’s having to give 110% in substandard machinery to even get a sniff of beating what we all accept is total domination. He isn’t here to finish second. Win it or bin it and I personally applaud him for it. If he’s in a championship winning position and chucks it away then fair enough. But scraping for the odd win can’t be held against him

re the Leclerc/Sainz comparison: Monza, let''s not forget that drivers take it in turn to go before their teammate, what this means is that in that weekend, Leclerc was always giving him a tow and if you recall, for the last attempt at pole, Leclerc went first, therefore with no tow, followed by Verstappen who got the tow from him and Sainz who got the tow from Max and Leclerc ended up 3rd lest than 0.1sec behind! now re Singapore, yes Sainz got the pole but let's not forget that Singapore is the second Monaco of the season so you just can't overtake. had norris, lewis or russell got the pole they would have won just the same. finally, the total number of points between both drivers should have been quite different; jsut think about the fact that Leclerc would have finished 3rd in Bahrain , 15 points, which also means Sainz woudl have scored 2 points less, then think about Brazil where Leclerc got the pole but due to mechanical issue, he couldn't start the race. Sainz had a couple of issues too but in those instances Leclerc was better positioned on the starting grid anyway. don't get me wrong , I think Sainz is really good and underrated but I do think Leclerc is better. it's like people who say he's not converted his poles into wins; well of course he hasn't since the Ferrari was a Saturday car. Lewis or Max, with the same car, they wouldn't have won either.

Nah Lewis in P7 is crazy. He’s never been one to “take it easy” regardless of the situation including switching teams. He finished 3rd in an inferior car to this years, I think it’s safe to say he can at least replicate similar results. The only way he finishes worse is if Ferrari do much better than last year.

Merc will develop this car a lot throughout the season as they are happy with the base. I see them being the 2nd best car in the 2nd half of the season.

Sainz will have a shocker, the pressure of not yet having a race seat for next year will get to him. Same for Ricciardo, I can't believe how absolutely everyone has overlooked just how poor he was at times last year even taking into account starting the season part way through then getting injured. Norris will be P2 more by luck than judgement, McLaren will be OK but Perez won't get away with scraping another P2 again this year. Gap between 9th and 10th will be huge, and sadly Max will win the title before we've even left Europe.

Max and Charles will be within 75 points of each other, and between Oscar Piastri and George Russell, the drivers will also be within 50 points of each other. Lando will have a pretty safe buffer above and below him regarding points. Australia will have two red flags. Lando will win his first race at Silverstone. *I also have Daniel so high and Sergio so low because I have a inkling that they might switch, not halfway through but like within the last 5 races. (I think Daniel will drive in a RedBull during Vegas) And also, yes, I understand how outlandish this is. But I made some pretty wild predictions last year and many of them came true 🙃

even if Magnussen is 20th all I want is him to get like a 4th/5th place in one race. Likewise even if Hulkenberg and Sargeant get 18th and 19th, I hope they get one podium. Likewise with the rest of the grid, I wanna see Tsunoda get a podium (preferrably at Suzuka), Ricciardo and Piastri get podium(s) (preferrably at Melbourne), Alonso get many podiums.

I also agree with Tommy. McLaren are giving vibes of being slightly behind The chasing pack. A lot of people saying again Merc were actually slightly better then Ferrari in race pace so we probably see the Ferrari quali vs Merc race narrative again.

I don’t get the Norris hype? Every time he had the car to actually hope for a win last year he made a costly mistake either in qualifying or in the race. This year Piastri will put more pressure on him and that’ll probably lead to more mistakes
