Matt, your generosity amazes me. The "little guys" who occasionally get a free tow seem genuinely and deeply grateful. Expecting to have a huge bill that suddenly disappears has to be an amazing feeling. You guys do great service to your community and it's visitors.

Yeah, I was coming here to say just this. It looks like the channel, the brand, and the merch is probably helping a lot. Maybe Matt has always been like this. (I'm a casual watcher. I watch it BECAUSE they're so generous with their time . . . inside the team, and also with strangers.) However it washes out, I'm glad Matt and the team are able to extend goodwill to so many people. This kind of stuff is what really makes a person feel pride in their actions. They've built a brand, and rather than just leverage it for the MAXIMUM profit, they seem to be happy to take what they need to do what they wish to do, and then take the extra and use it to help those around them. Never change. Nothing wrong with success, but finding a way to be successful AND help others in need is a beautiful thing.

@@bertfromnz9069 Note that while KZfaq pays for them producing and posting videos, KZfaq does NOT pay for the tow and rescue service. So Matt's Offroad Recovery/Winder Towing could STILL charge the folks they pull out, which would dramatically increase profits. But Matt and his crew choose to NOT charge. Winder Towing is still a profitable business based on regular tow services.

I learned to drive in a Corvair just like that. My parents bought it new from the dealer in 1963. I do not remember it having the power seen here. I think the reason Matt can get that small air-cooled engine to do this much work is pure driving skill. LOL. I loved watching them restore this Corvair and convert it to the Morrvair, but every time I see it in action I remember my original driving experience. In addition to the Corvair my family had a Chevy with the big block V8, this is the direct ancestor to the motor MORR is putting into the big wrecker. It was amazing to drive the Chevy, and lay rubber.

Few things here - 1 - if this was Australia, there'd be a ton of bogans willing to try and pull you out. 2 - Both vehicles look to have FAR too much air in their tyres. That jeep with 35/37s would need to drop down to 12-15psi to get a decent footprint. 3 - looks like easy money in the US doing recoveries, love your videos Matt.

Matt has said it before, he pulls a small fraction of people out. The rest are helped by good samaritans. Definitely too much air in most people’s tires for driving on sand.

Our 4x4 club here in Australia loves sharing your videos. To show how idiots attempt a rescue.. One, your toe rope is crap.. In Australia we have these plastic things called Trax, you should have 4 off them under the tyres off the car your trying, hehe.. too get out, and two under the rescue vehicles rear tyres.. That is a beginner shit easy rescue.. you would never survive in the Australian Outback.. Just plant your truck and winch it out.. a lot of Fake Rescue stuff here.. make it look good for KZfaq suckers..
