When I see people leaving Matt’s business, I see people that have grown while working for him. I think he is a great leader and teacher. When people leave better than they came I would consider that a success.

Thank you for this! It's so good to hear the history of how you got involved with Matt's off-road recovery! I understand everybody is different but it would have really been nice because there have been so many cool people at Matt's off-road recovery that have left and I'm sure the reasons were probably very benign but it would have been nice to have an explanation for all those other people. We got it for Lizzie and Rudy but we didn't get it for Trevor, Tucker, Skeeter, Etc

I just now found out Tom left MOR. So obviously this is an automatic subscription for me. Tom is one of my fave people in MOR and I am curious to see where this channel goes. This reminds me quite a bit when Will Stelter left Alec Steele and that turned out quite okay. Looking forward to seeing more of this channel

Oh man, I'm going to miss the interactions between you and Matt and the crew. There was a kind of magic in your interactions. That was a special highlight of MORR vids for me. There is a lot of great stuff to do in your shop. I think one of the successful aspects of Matt's Channel is the high school kids that are always over there helping him out. I hope you can get a High school kid out there that you can mentor maybe your son if he is into that, or maybe someone else. Also, you know as well as I do that you will be over at Matt's shop all the time. It might take a few months to find out who you are in your new place, but when things settle down you will still be doing stuff with him often. God Speed Brother.

Matt also seems like a very down to earth and awesome person, I'm glad you are still friends. If you don't mind a fan dropping by your shop sometime, I pass through Utah with a great group of guys every couple of years with my Jeep. We live in Nevada, about 15 minutes from the Rubicon trailhead, send me a PM if you happen to be passing through this area and it would be great to meet you here too!

Hey Tom, I'm a 70 year old fabricator/sculptor, and have really appreciated your interactions with Matt. You have a good dose of common sense, and have introduced many good practices and proceedures into Matt's shop. As much as I appreciate the good natured theme of the off road recoveries, the Barney Rubble fabrication methods in the fab efforts drive me crazy. I look forward to seeing what you take on! Tom, I've been watching matts offroad recovery for quite some time. You have such talent I enjoy both you and Matt brainstorming and building the wrecker, the morrvair, the Golden nugget, and all in between. Looking forward to seeing your personalized projects. I've been disabled from work injuries and reoccurring illness for 15 years and seeing my desires being invented and created through these channels ( matts offroad recovery, fabrats, and now Tom Tom's garage) is amazing. Love what you do! A huge thank you for what you do!

Tom, I speculate that you and I would have lots to talk about. Between 1990 and 2004 I was a Nuclear Plant Equipment Operator (N.P.E.O.) at a Southern California Nuclear Generating Site. I heard your Masters in Nuclear Engineering. I have nothing like that however I am pretty familiar with things "Nuclear" I and about 170 others made electricity. By far and away it was the best and most fascinating job I had ever had. I finished my work life working there and you could definitely say that that job made my retirement. Up to 1990 I had been a full time auto and light truck mechanic pretty much from the time I got out of the United States Navy in 1963. I am retired now and have a little 9 acre hobby farm in N.E. Oklahoma. I have a 30'X70' steel shop in my back yard equipped with a twin post lift like you have in your shop. The lift keeps me from having to lay on my back on cold concrete. A good thing for an 81 year old man. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your video here about your plans in the future. Thank you very much!!

Also reiterates to the fans that he: doesn't "need a job" doesn't need to get "youtube rich" he's probably very vested in his retirement etc funds, he's a smart guy obviously. He's the kind of guy who thrives in new and challenging environments, Who else goes from Masters in Engineering to Off-road Master, Tom Tom We'll be here for you!

Always enjoyed Matt's Offroad. Really wowed with Tom's academic creds. I've got an MD Orthopedic Surgeon who had a BS, Mechanical Eng, Ivy League. But then he decided Med School - Harvard. He's a good MD These days, in his spare time, he restores antique Porches (951?). Some people just have talent and smarts pouring out of the bucket. Good Luck Tom Tom !!
