"Mouri Potol"- An unique flavourful Bong dish made with fennel seeds. We had this with white rice. The spicy green chilies were nicely balanced with the yogurt. And the aroma of fennel and the dry spices gave the dish a wonderful flavor.

Parwal - 400 gms
Mustard oil - 4 tbsp
Mouri/fennel seeds - 3 tbsp
Chopped ginger - 2 tsp
Whole green chillies - 5
Salt as per taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 th tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/4 th tsp
Roasted cumin powder - 1/4 th tsp
Bay leaf - 1
Cardamoms - 3
Cloves - 3
Cinamon sticks - 1/2 inch
Whisk yogury/curd - 3 tbsp
Milk- 1 cup
