It's clearly fire and water element-attuned, as opposed to frankenstein's common electrical depictions. Taking the name it's presumably based off a golem, though it's website description also references it's attunement to nature similar to a treant. Though Magnamalo is basically Bishamon, Goss Harag could be Sasquatch, Somnacanth as Rikou, Bishaten is basically gimmicky like Hsien-Ko, and yes, I guess.

It's a nice mechanic and surprising how many people do not know about it, but I'm a big fan of the changes they're making to wall running in Sunbreak. It's much more convenient to just run up to a wall to wall run, and being able to do aerial evades into wall run sounds sick. I can't wait to see how much more acrobatic that makes the movement in this game.

I could see Glavenus making a return, but Gammoth probably wouldn't work too well in Rise. Wirebug movement would make that fight a joke unless it was completely reworked.

its gonna be ez bolt reaver, just like how apex diablos is a ez bloodbath, missing steam attacks, quite a few patterns, loss of his conditional attacks from ex, doesn't re-track your position when doing the horn jabs anymore like in GU (i don't see anyone ever getting hit by his horn jabs in rise because of this). If they bring Boltreaver I want him back in full glory and improved. It was the same for Apex Zinogre, soooooo many patterns removed even when comparing to his high rank version, and no more always charged state is lame, since thunderlord in Generations is always charged, and can only go to super charged, with his regular charged state giving him g-rank 4 ultimate's stygian zinogre moveset even in high rank. I really don't like how dumbed down the apex fights are compared to their deviant counterparts.

At this point it's really hard to make entirely new weapons. The last entirely original one is the insect glaive. Even charge blade felt like a combination of sword and shield and Switch-axe.

Well, they basically made monsters into a weapon with wyvern riding. If you make a right build for it, you can kill a monster without ever touching it with your weapon.

@@TheAssirra There have been a few weapons that were only in one game like the Tonfa, Medium Bowgun, Magnet Spike, and Accel Axe. However it seems like Capcom isn't too interested in adding those to the permanent arsenal.

It's unlikely. People newer to the series might not be aware of this but little mechanics like that don't tend to come back in future entries. It doesn't really make sense to have investigations in lands that have already been colonized and explored. It made sense for World because it was uncharted territory, thus completely unknown monsters and lands. But all the monsters in this game are known to the native residents of their lands, so they wouldn't need investigations.

Or you know, it will be just monster hunter 5 just like any other sequal.

The World name might be too big to leave on the table though. As max mentioned, it is their selling game EVER.

We MH players never get stuck on the games subtitle name, why should it matter now? The only ones complaining that I see is the pure "World Babies" who started with World and refused to play Rise.

@@Taygon45 its from Jewish folklore, basically a humanoid clay or mud figure that is given life with some sort of holy word or name inscribed on to it or written on paper and put in its mouth. It's generally a protector but some stories have it go wild. Is a sense, Frankenstein can be seen as a sci-fi interpretation of a Golem story minus any religious connotation.
