The point is that the timeline that is linear becomes multiverse timeline due to time fabric that rip apart cause the released of mammoth energy during MK11 aftermath final battle in Shang Tsung's courtyard. The ending is Armageddon Multiversal War with Deadly Alliance from Titan Shang Tsung timeline as final Boss. No Kronika because Damashi turns out to be Shang Tsung disguising as Kronika and the Dragon Crown itself to invade Lord Liu Kang's Timeline and steal souls to run Dragon's Army. Sorry but I have to spoiled it anyway lol.... 😎😎😎

Shang is a stance character. He has separate move lists for young and new. It’s not just visual. I’ve seen the command list but not much gameplay. Old version could be using vertical skulls exclusively and a few different normals.

Damn for a second I thought they were gonna give him the ability to turn into the Kameo characters and be able to pull off some of their moves It'd sorta allow them to let us fight as some of them without actually putting them on the roster. Especially if they didn't have full move sets. I could have seen it as a replacement for him turning into the ninjas from last game

Both versions of Shang have different moves but use the same input.

My guess is that he can still change into Kameo Fighters appearance wise, but can't use their moves unless they're a playable character Though this makes me curious as to how old Shang Tsung and Shujinko would differ appearance wise if they were right beside each other

A lot of people on X said kronika could be onaga but I don't see it as when he was damashi he went after shujinko because he was nieve enough to believe anything he says, that's not shang tsung. Actually, I see a lot of people saying that the hourglass can't let you change a persons fate. To put it simply, Liu Kang can't control the destination, but he can control the route they use to get there.

The numbers correspond to the face buttons on the controller. So for example mortal Kombat is a 4 button fighting game so anytime you hear him say the numbers it’s just the buttons you use for each combo string. So let’s say you are on PlayStation 1= square 2= triangle 3= X 4= circle Each button is an attack and those are known as your normal attacks. Then you have command normals which just means a direction + a button so an example would be forward 3 or down back 1. There’s lots of other lingo too you’ll get the hang of it as you watch more fighting game related content I was confused the first time I heard all that stuff too

Jeremy explained it perfectly. If you are wondering, numbers are used because there are different buttons names for each console (compare a ps5 controller vs an Xbox controler). By assigning a number to that button position, it's universal.

So if you have a playstation 1 is Square, 2 is Triangle, 3 is X and 4 is Circle. So for example when someone says D2 into 1 2 4 , they mean Down ( thats what the D stands for ) Triangle into Square Triangle Circle. The more you play the more you will remember. Also B means Back ( which would be left) F would mean Forward ( which is right )and U would be Up. There are more terms like Dashing which is forward forward, Air Dashing which ( changes depending on the game ) and a lot more. I would youtube this topic to get a better understanding

because its mortal kombat and its probably less a tournament of conquest and more like the superbowl with friendly wargames style combat with no overarching prize except a trophy and glory.

This time around the tournament isn't a fight to the death, nor are they looking to take over one another. At least not in the beginning. From trailers they have shown that people like General Shao will eventually revert to their known nature.

For what i know after less than an hour story without dramatic spoilers is that Lui Kang have the Role that we all know since decades from Raiden. Means Lui Kang bring some Earthrealm dudes ( the good ones ) that he choose and they had proofen well, to be the Champion for Earthrealm ( only one can be the Champion) that go in the Tournament i will not say who is the Champion but it was also in a Trailer so its not evan a spoiler... Outworld and Earthrealm r not in peace, Outworld respects the strengh and Power of the Earthrealm Champion and thats why a Tournament is important cuz if Earthrealm will Lose Outworld will not respect anymore Earthrealm and War will start between the realms, thats was what i understand from the new Story line honestly for me its not a huge big change the big changes r the New roles of some fighters and the new relation ships thats a big change , the Story plot in my opinion is still the same like ever in some kind of way ...

I agree. MK11 had lots of hype but during release it wasn't as big as MK1 us shaping up to be. I played the beta and enjoyed 100x more than MK11. It's a combination of roster and playability for me. At first I didn't like kameos but in the beta I could see how it opens up SO many possibilities and also changes how a character plays. MK11 was very limited with variations. Now we get the full package.

Was it good? I mean, I like NRS story modes, in comparison to other fighting games like SF or Tekken, but seeing how hated MK11's story is nowadays (even though it's not even that bad and IMO it's better than MKX's story), I hope this shuts up the haters.

There were some plot holes but nothing too big like when kitana defeated shao khan. Aftermath story was far better imo. The voice actors are great, the fight scenes are perfect and story isn’t repetitive and always has something new. I didn’t see the story mode in MK1 except some spoilers which some lowlifes (sry for the bad language but I couldn’t help it) spammed them in the comments section. Some people said that the story was great, some said that it’s a disappointment. But from what I’ve seen in the past people hate on the story for no reason and some of them have som high unreal expectations. What matters me the most is that I enjoy the game and I don’t really care about what other people are saying

We fight Quan Chi and also Ermac. Kuai Liang gets his scar from Bi Han that wanna betray everyone. Both endings from MK11 are cannons. There is no real boss fight at the end, also no Onaga. The story is a mixed of Deadly Alliance and Armageddon. Multiverse of madness all over again. Liu Kang summons all champions from all timelines to fight Shang Tsung. He also summons his own army. Each champion has mixed powers, like a fusion: Sonya + Kano, Goro + Shao, Kung Lao + Dark Raiden, Baraka + Scorpion, so on. Each of them is merged with another one. The fight is similar to Marvel Infinity War, and they fight climbing the pyramid from MK Armageddon or a VERY similar one. You can choose with what character you want to finish the game, so you can play the ending with every char, but the ending is the same, no matter who you choose. You fight multiple times different fusion enemies, with cinematics between them. We even get to see Mime Johnny Cage. The final battle is between you and Liu Kang against Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. After you win, you go to a different timeline, since this one is destroyed. Liu Kangs speaks with Raiden, Kung Lao, Kenshi and Johnny Cage at Madam Bo establishment about what they accomplished and tell them that Kuai Liang went to form a clan called Shirai Ryu. After the credits, we see Lord Havik with 3 champs by his side, again fusion ones, like Quan Chi having Subzero powers, Kitana and Kenshi also having different powers. They claim that they are late and missed all the fun, everything ended too fast. Around them is a field of dead fighters, just like in MK Armageddon. Everything ends with Lord Havik saying that next time, it won't end so fast.

Except they have some of the most nonsense story of all time. Hopefully this game fixes it

From... - Street Fighter Alpha replacing Street Fighter 1 - (MULTIPLE VERSIONS) Street fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4 are very similar stories that overlap each other while adding new characters. - Then Capcom decides to put the train wreck of an attempt of a story of Street Fighter 5 BEFORE Street Fighter 3 😂 - Then way down the line there's Street Fighter 6 which barely has a story due to creating a character and many of the main characters do not even need to be encountered and or don't even have a place in the story. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Then there's Tekken which definitely has a better story thN Street Fighter but not by much, since they kept recycling the Meshima story for 7 games,...which speaking of, if the character didn't have a direct tie-in to a Meshima character(s) then they didn't have much of a place in the actual story. If it wasn't for Mortal Kombat making an attempt of a story most of these Original fighting games would have simply stuck to non-canonical Arcade Modes stories.
