I took one look at that "hug" option and immediately said "hell no" during my first playthrough. A beautiful woman that I don't know offering to hug me is already suspicious enough, but something like that happening in a FROMSOFTWARE GAME? HUGE red flag.

Damn, his part on Radahn and Caelid made me so proud. I love Radahn. He's my favorite boss in Elden Ring. Not by the battle alone, but what he stood for and how much of his design and abilities just tell his story. It's amazing.

Scion is there to teach you the first, single most important lesson in the game. You are going to die, and you can't always brute force your way through every fight.

i love the lore in Elden Ring, small things like learning that Vyke was a man from the dragon cult who was the closest to becoming elden lord out of anyone but then fell to the flame of frenzy, which i decided to do as well, using his armor. it was a wild ride

i read item descriptions and payed attention to in game events, i also read the wiki alot so i got the story pretty damn well before i watched anything from vati or anyone else also that dead bed companion debuff is removed by just using the item she places in your inventory

What this video taught me is that Nux don't read at all lol. You can literally piece the whole story by reading Item description, looking at the sword graveyard, exhausting npc dialog. This is not hard lol

Hey Nux, the thing that Fia gives you when she hugs you is called Baldachins blessing. Use it to get rid of that debuff and have your poise boosted (poise makes it to where less of your attacks are interrupted)

Elden Ring's lore is the easiest to understand out of all the FromSoft games. If you just listen to the dialogue characters tell you and read item descriptions then it's not that hard to understand. Vaati does make things a lot more clear and brings up obscure information though.

The Fia Debuff is literally just 5% of ur Health in exchange for a pretty powerful buff. Those 5% wont make a difference until later when u have a lot of health and than it wont matter most of the time anyway. And the Blessing just straight up makes u nigh unflinchable.

The funny thing about all the Marika-damned dragons in this game is that it seems almost like they're making up for the distinct lack of real dragons in the other SoulsBorns. It's a major plot and lore point that there are few true dragons in the Dark Souls setting because most of them were killed off during prehistory by Gwyn and his posse. The vast majority of the rest of the "dragons" in the games are either various offshoots, like wyverns and drakes for example, zombies or otherwise dead in some way like the undead dragons, hybrids like Priscilla and possibly Yorshka, or artificial copies, like the Ancient Dragon and various dragon-like abominations. The only real dragons we see are Seath, the Stone Dragon, Kalameet, the Gaping Dragon (as horribly mutated they are), Sinh, and Midir. The presence of huge numbers of dragons in this game might lend precedence to the theory that the Frenzied Flame ending could lead to the first Dark Souls game. In the wake of the destruction the Frenzied Flame would have left behind, all that would have been left would have been the fossilized remains of the Erdtree and others like it, ash, rock, and the dragons whose scales would have protected them from the Flames.

She hugs you, which gives you a health debuff, AND also gives you an item that will boost your Poise stat for a little while. As soon as you use the item, health debuff is gone, and it won’t come back unless you get another hug from her and another poise boost item. That’s frankly a reason I didn’t pick the game up myself; compared to previous Fromsoft games, they jacked up the difficulty artificially by *not explaining stuff.* Fia is one small example. A much BIGGER example is the “Cat’s Grace” Ring. It’s existed since Demon’s Souls, which I played along with Dark Souls 1 and 2. In all of those games, the description for the ring says, “Prevents fall damage, but will not prevent fall Death” Me: “Oh, okay, so if I fall far enough to hit the instant-death threshold, it won’t stop that, but it means I don’t have to worry about breaking my ankles everytime I drop more than 5 feet, cool.” This game? It says, “Prevents fall damage” and leaves off the part about “Won’t stop fall death”. That kind of malicious disinformation, leaving out vital info comes off as cheap and cutting corners to me.

Fia the deathbed companion doesnt permanently reduce your health. It gives you an item that reduces your health slightly and if you use it it gives allot of poise. Once used you no longer have reduced health.

The bit with nezuko was fire but nezuko didnt go all out,otherwise a horn wouldve grown from her head and she wouldve gone on a rampage,that point daki was struggling against,then again that was a rampage,if nezuko was in control of that power like daki is then fighting for nezuko would be as simple as breathing,cant be harmed by other demons but she can burn other demons which she scarred daki which is still wicked since that was the first she used her burning blood on a demons body and the damage wasnt easy to regen since she needed her brother to help regen for her,so if nezuko was on that level right here itd be like having their own upper moon on their side with the plus side that nezuko can actually cause damage on a demon that cant be healed easily
