Carve your Body with Dumbbell Rows ⚠️
.
Here is the ONLY Dumbbell Row video you need to see so you can go from Training Like a Noob to an Absolute Pro. 🔥
Form Tip #1: Instead of Having the Front Seat fully Flat, Lift the Seat Up 2 Levels, so this way you are Setup Higher, so you can get a deeper stretch on every rep. 🔥
Form Tip #2: Instead of Holding the Dumbbells in the Middle, make sure to hold the Dumbbells Slightly Higher so you have greater leverage to pull through your Back. ✅
Form Tip #3: Instead of having your Traps Overengaged, this will take away tension away from the Lats, so relax your traps by pulling your shoulders away your ears. ✅
Form Tip #4: Lastly, instead of pulling the Dumbbells Vertically Up, make sure to Scoop the Dumbbell Back & Up. This will create a stronger contraction into your Lats. 🔥
Save this for next time you do Dumbbell Rows. 💪🏽
Comment “BACK” if you want my FREE Back Guide. 🔥

I thought putting a knee up on a bench causes you to loose stabilization. It’s much better to use the back on an incline bench to grab without putting a knee on the bench.

The one knee on a bench stance is terrible as it removes the balancing point of a triangle. If you have a tripod, having two legs of the same length will always provide a superior balance than all three with different lengths. Especially when you introduce weight away from the centre of gravity.

Ofc it does, it gives you a looser grip so you don’t feel it so much in your forearms.. your forearms will give out before your back so taking your forearms outta the mix will help you lift better. - was in a Jeff nippard video that I watched a while back
@stratos59
@stratos59 9 күн бұрын
@@skrubosaurus9744 if you want less forearms use lifting straps , not holding with your thumb makes holding the weight harder and making you more prone to failing due to your grip and not your back
@skrubosaurus9744
@skrubosaurus9744 9 күн бұрын
@@stratos59 like i said in my comment, jeff nippard says this and i stand by it. using the thumbless grip stops the forearms activating as much as they would normally.. which is why people go thumbless.. but yes, i agree with using straps as your back is the larger muscle and wont be the limiting factor... but ima stand by jeff who researches everything than some other randomers no offense.. + thumbless doesn't really hinder your grip you still have all your fingers around the bar... unless you're going super heavy, you wont notice your thumb not being around it
@AXA23
@AXA23 7 күн бұрын
@@skrubosaurus9744think about your comment tho bro, if the thumb doesn’t hinder the grip, it wouldn’t make enough difference in the forearm to actually ease anything. I don’t think it does. I think you’ll get tired in your forearms no matter what, work thru it.😂
@verywell290
@verywell290 7 күн бұрын
@@skrubosaurus9744 if you grip thumbless it looses the grip and provide less forearm activation in theory, but you still need your forearm to hold the weight and if you hold it with only 4 fingers you make it even more harder to hold that weight, the thumb is for there to help you lift. Btw I often watch Jeff too but he is not completely correct all the time. For example when he did the back tier list he put the pull ups in the A tier, when it's one of the best back exercises, even only with pull ups you cab build a decent back. So my opinion is that you need the thumb for support if your forearm is week it's gonna give up the lift with or without the thumbs but in the end it all comes down to preferences, I'm against the thumbless lift but you do you

Your thumb is by far the strongest finger, not using it makes your grip weaker. In this exercise your grip will always be the limiting factor, so taking out your thumb makes it less likely you’re going to hit your target weight or reps. Squeeze the fuck out of the dumbbell with your thumb included and it’ll work your forearms much more. You’ve never need to work your forearms if you, you know, actually work your forearms

@hhyhnh9335 4 күн бұрын
@@mustytasty4287 your back will always do the most work when it comes to a pulling exercise. The forearm's involvement is limited to holding the weight in place. The idea behind thumbless grip to minimise exertion on the forearm so you'd feel a greater mind muscle connection to the last and recruit other posterior chain muscles less. Specifically, it helps with targeting and recruiting the muscle you're trying to work. But it's not at all necessary, and once you get to a certain weight it's damn near impossible to use this grip without the dumbbell rolling out of your hand.

@monkey_manne
@monkey_manne 3 күн бұрын
@@DUC939 it's not as small as you think, when you use a closed grip with your thumb there is a lot more bicep activation so removing that cuts out the bicep activation and focuses on the back. combined with wrist straps you have optimal gains 💪 if you choose no straps it's good for forearms meaning you shouldn't have to train then separately, but that's up to personal preference
@DUC939
@DUC939 3 күн бұрын
@@monkey_manne allright, the diffrence between a loose/hook and a overhand type grip is that with the hook is less stability while holding the dumbell. you would need to turn your wrist inwards to hold the dumbell witch leads to more forarm use. If instaid you were to use a overhand grip you can grasp the dumbell more firmly witvh makes pulling easier. Even if you were right on that some people experience bicep activation with an overhand grip its because of how the motion of their arm travels, not the thumb position. And even if thumb position has influence over bicep activation there is no corelation between that and back gains. Also musceles dont work like "this excersize has 70% back activation and 30% bicep activation" The bicep suports the back and is nescerary for it to work. I see people pre-exhaust biceps for back movement witch is stupid. they cant pull as well because their bicep reaches failure first instaid of back. Hope this clears things up
@monkey_manne
@monkey_manne 3 күн бұрын
@@DUC939 I dont experience any more difficulty rowing the weight when I use a thumbless grip, that's just a you problem- and if your arm isn't in a neutral stance where your wrist is facing in towards the bench, I don't know how you have room for the dumbbell without bad form. The reason why using a thumbless grip makes the set more effective on the back is because it's helping with that mind-muscle connection, that you are in fact pulling with your back. Especially towards the end of the set when training to failure, it can be easy to activate the biceps using an overhand grip. You should try thumbless on pull ups, it makes all the difference. Also I'm sorry but that last part is completely wrong. When you are training dips you are using both your triceps and chest obviously. There are some notable exercises I'm sure you know that target more than one exercise- primarily training one. Not sure on the ratio for deadlifts, but we could certainly gauge around 70-30 for legs:back, given that there is a lot more leg work involved if you are doing it right.
