We promised to be real with you. The fact is no life is perfect or without its struggles. After attempting to film this weeks vlog we realised that we need to take a break from both the van and KZfaq. We hope to see you when we return!
We are Max & Lee + Occy. We are about living small with the world as our backyard. We love adventure and we want to bring you along with us! Join us us as we work, travel and live in our self converted tiny home. We started van life in Canada and we are on the way down to Argentina!

ElxM100 Untrue. It’s been proven to be the healthiest way just not for some. They done vlogs stating they feel btr on plant-based diet. I sure do. It just doesn’t work for some. Lee & Max aren’t in that category tho.

Take all the time you need, vlogging is truly a full time job. It can also take a toll on your mental health, just like with other social media portals. Good for you both! You have carved out a income stream that supports your life and travels- we all need vacations from work. Have a wonderful break and look after yourselves. Disconnect, unwind and enjoy your families. Im sure you both need the space and time to recharge - good for both to recognize this. One comment - you mentioned that the Pet Resort will send daily videos of Occy - post a few of those to keep your subscribers engaged during the vacation. Just a thought - a couple minutes a week of Occy is good for everyone.

Having a you-tube channel can be terribly invasive on a person or a couple's life .... seems like it just takes over your every thought. I'm not at all sure I could do what you do. I'm a truck driver in the USA and I vlog all of our adventures-- people with regular 9-5 jobs will never understand how exhausting this could be...but I still love every minute! Enjoy your break we are doing the same but will return even stronger!

There are so many things I love about your channel but authenticity is probably one of the ones I love the most ! When you were explaining your situation I felt like I was almost having a coffee with friends ! Anyway, take a break, everyone needs one and I'll be right here waiting to watch your travels ! You guys have evolved so much since the beginning and have done so many things, you have so many reasons to be proud of yourselves and to take a rest ! As a vanlifer myself I love to be on the road but I am also happy to get home ! And I only do it on holidays so I cannot even imagine what is like for you guys ! I feel you. KZfaq has certainly been the most stressful job I've ever had (and the most rewarding), you're responsible for everything that normally gets distributed between several people, you get an insane amount of e-mails and most of the time it feels like you finished the video just in time and the next day it starts all over again. Since your channel grew so incredibly fast I can only imagine how hard it must have been to keep up the weekly work while traveling so much (plus tending to Instagram, Patreon etc.). From my experience, there is definitely a way to manage it all (in my case it's been building my home and doing KZfaq) but I also definitely needed breaks. It's easy to get burned out and lose the joy in what you do, which is exactly what's not supposed to happen. I always cringed at the idea of taking a longer break because I was afraid my channel would somehow die (it didn't). I now made it a habit to only publish three videos per month whenever I feel it's too much. I just try not to take analytics too seriously, otherwise you feel that constant pressure to produce and publish. (How Peter McKinnon is still alive, publishing three or more videos per week, I don't know, haha.) On a personal note, I think your channel is a rare find on KZfaq and you can be proud of what you have accomplished in such a short time. I've been around literally since the beginning. Your vlogs are always relaxing to watch and I definitely would not have learned about many of the places if it wasn't for you. Take care of yourselves and take all the time you need!

I am a 69 year old, who just became a first time grandmother yesterday. I’ve fallen in love with Lee and now I am curious about who Max is want to learn more about Lee’s past acquaintances. I want to come to terms as to why such a beautiful gal has ended up making her early transition from earth. I learned about Lee from watching Eamon and Bec’s videos. I love your dog and honesty. I read too that Lee had been given new medication which could have an ill effect on anybody. God bless you Max and God bless all of you people who so loved Lee and who had become one with all of your travels. May you nourish your tender heart and become stronger with each passing moment.

Leaving the dog! That must’ve been really really hard. Looking back on this now it seems like it was the beginning of the end. I’m so sorry for the both of you. I think it's amazing your taking a break. My sil gets those sores as well and hers are from stress for sure (shes a cma and year end is her stress). I will be here and I'm sure everyone else will be here as well. It will let us look forward to your return and occy for sure. Have a great visit with your family.
