I bought a Ganzo a few years ago when I was broke. Excellent knife, still use it.

I have 16 ganzo firebird knives and they are hard to beat for the money and I carry a few of them often

I'm carrying Ganzo FH-11S (smaller version of FH11), because it has pretty tame design and doesn't look threatening. If regularly cleaned and lubricated it's action is butter smooth and centering gets on point with little effort when reassembling. This model is also one of their very few original designs that aren't stolen from other knife manufacturers, which gives them a bad rep among knife community in the west. But not in eastern Europe hehe

I have one that looks just like a Spyderco but has an axis style lock and I love it! The steel may be inexpensive but it's not junk. It seems to hold a good edge and gets super sharp and for $20 I'm not afraid to beat on it like my Spyderco's and Benchmades. Excellent company in my opinion!

Ganzo knives are hard to beat for around $20. But don't forget the Ontario RAT-1 and 2 models are between $20 and $30 for AUS-8A models. Superb knives for anyone on a budget.

Carried a Ganzo clone of a HK knife for my first 4 years in the army. Loved it and it’s cheap enough that I didn’t care if I beat on it but sturdy enough not worry about it failing on me.

I have all these Ganzos and love them all! My FB765 is so darn fidgety! Drops shut so smoothly!

I have 5 different Ganzo knives and love them all. QA can be a little hit or miss, though. I've sent 2 back, one for arriving with a chipped blade and another because the axis lock was defective.

I’ve bought a bunch of Ganzos in the past few years. I’ve given several away and peoples reactions show they think I just gave them an expensive knife. The one I carry every day at work I’ve had for 6 years and it’s never let me down. The 440C is a little soft but sharpens easily. They are easy to disassemble and clean and lube but I have noticed they don’t always have quality screws, especially the ones that hold the clip. I’ve had to add locktight to the clip screws regularly to keep hem from wiggling around because they aren’t the right size for the drilled holes. Over all though, around $20 for these knives these days is a complete steal.

Unfortunately I live in New York state and Amazon will not ship any folding knives to New York State 😤. I can order 4 foot swords, machetes and 14 inch Bowie fixed blades from Amazon but not the scary folding pocket knife 🤔.

Thank you so much for this review. My wife will let me drop $300 but expects one-and-done. I want variety in my knives and keep them at strategic locations for each task (half tasks are fidgeting 😂). With this company I can let my knife collecting habits slip under the radar and try different sizes and blade styles.

I have a ganzo push button,spring assist. I think it was $14 back when I bought it. I have spydercos, benchmades,hogues,microtechs among others. It was my most carried knife until a recent purchase of a vosteed racoon.

I’d still pick Byrd over Gonzo. The Cara Cara and Raven are just to good for what you pay. I think the FRN Byrd line the best bang for buck around.

You know what amazes me more than the prices on Ganzos is that people pay hundreds for the same thing except half of em have to send em to the factory to get em resharpened. Is a $300 knife really worth it when all you gotta do is sharpen the $20 one every once in a while. Of course to each his own and if I had that kinda money to waste I might feel different but I just really don't think so. Now here come the steel miesters

I bought one of the Ganzos, but mine came much stiffer than yours, both in detent and in the axis lock spring. Is there a way to fix it? Maybe just use it and with time it gets better on the spring and oil it for the detent?

I gotta ganzo that i keep in my bathroom. And shows VERY MINOR rust which is crazy because its 440C and I take HOT showers daily you would think the blade would've completely rusted by now through the high humidity but no. 😲

I recently purchased a $12 Kershaw Rhetoric (I think it was a Rhetoric, I’d have to check the box). It is my favorite EDC knife currently. As a knife collector myself, I have no issues with adding decent budget knives to my collection. I don’t really understand the negative predisposition toward budget knives; it comes off as gatekeeper mentality to me. I prefer carrying/using cheap knives just for the sake of not having to worry about damage…
