yes V doesn't tend to really care about official settings or being in a leader position in official settings but he's definitely not shy to put out his ideas when it comes to being creative. Jin is the 'mood-maker' of the group. He's great at ice-breaking when the guys enter a new situation or meet new people. Even though all of them are really loud and chaotic with each other, they get shy with new people. Jin always helps them overcome this by breaking the ice, joking about something so that the guys are more relaxed and can enjoy themselves and react more openly

Jungkook indeed has a lot of love for RM. He decided to join Bighit because of how much he admired RM and his rapping, even though he got offers from a dozen other prestigious companies. He chose the small company and trusted in the group

honestly what got me stanning BTS is because of their relationship and bond with each other. Their message,music and performances are great and all but those are just a bonus for me. So far i've never found another group that got me really interested in their thoughts and life as much as BTS. I listen to other groups music and watch their performances but that's it, im just a casual fan.

For V, I think watching Run BTS, Bon Voyage, or In the Soop, V's personality comes out more. He is very unique, affectionate, and has quirky humor.

V was much more vocal when he was younger, but he was often misunderstood I feel because of his free-spirited nature and quirkiness. I think he became more reserved in interviews etc as he got older to avoid being judged, chooses his words more carefully and more observant, but gets more outspoken when he is comfortable in situations.

We always joke about how jongkook is living his first life because he always seems so amazed about everything even simple every day things. V is definitely a free spirit, he’s always the one with the least regard for “rules” he tend to go with the feeling that means he is sometimes really hyper and sometimes pretty calm and quiet. Jimin, the guys themselves said that he feels like the most grown up of all them sometimes I remembered that when you kept mentioning his composure, also it could be that he is classically trained dancer so he always seems really aware of his posture and presentation

Yeah Taehyung (V) is a really complex character, he's known to be massively social - anywhere he goes he makes friends and is very good with young children I'd say he doesnt have a massively dominant personality because he really doesnt need one, the other members really dote on him... If Tae speaks up with a suggestion, well thats what their doing now lol At the same time he's still confident, and he really does what he wants whether or not people think its normal, or if anyone else has even ever thought of it before- hes super unique and theres videos of just how differently his mind seems to work. RM has said he thinks V is the next most intelligent member, but all the members also have said, outside of age, Taehyung is the 'baby' of the group

V is a fourth dimensional thinker. He has a high emotional intellect, jokes with a straight face, finds loopholes in games that make his teammates angry and accuse him of cheating, and cannot tolerate any of his members saying anything negative about themselves. If you want to see V in a leadership position, look for the situations in which members doubt themselves, like when Jin says he knows he cannot dance well.

Taehyung's personality is really unique, he's sometimes really quiet, or really active. And now that he's older, he has become a bit quiter too, but anyways he is a very funny guy and affectionate with the members too.

I've noticed a few people in the comments over-analysing Taehyung or sticking theories about mistreatment or judgement to him so I just wanted to weigh in a bit more neutrally. We've all watched Taehyung since he was seventeen and he's now twenty-five and he's definitely changed and matured over time. There are something's about him that'll never change, of course, he's very much a free spirit, kind, empathetic and extremely creative. He's very much Bangtan's baby, they all love to take care of him but he takes care of them to in his own way, he's very affectionate and complimentary with them, always making sure all of them are happy and engaged with what's going on. He really loves making them laugh whether it's with random dancing, skits or opera and is extremely thoughtful-- he organised all his friends to send birthday messages to Jin when he was a little sad he hadn't received many and during a replay of an old concert he posted a video of him playing with a lion puppet because he knew Army would be sad after having witnessed him cry talking about his grandmother's passing. He's very shy when it comes to public speaking but is also very social and can befriend almost anyone. He's definitely mellowed out over the years, and some people overread this "drop in energy" as something sinister when he really just seems to have grown up or misread his neutral expression as a dislike of other people or discomfort when in a lot of cases, he's just not currently smiling and that's it. He's a very interesting person with a lot of contradictions and it can take some time but once you get to know him the little details of how he interacts with the other member's and the world really shine. Watching the 2018 Festa Dinner Party video might be a good place to start, as it was a very relaxed environment and you get to see them interact more casually. Jimin really is the most calm, composed, in touch with his feelings person, he just knows what to say at the right time, he is so kind, considerate and empathetic guy. Ofcourse he has a different goofy silly side to him also, but such things don't come out as much in such interviews, if you watch them in their comfortable surrounding just within themselves, he is the funniest hilarious person ever 💗

Max, maybe you failed to notice in the airplane scene but Jungkook gave up his great seat to RM in the middle of the flight so he can sleep well. That's family behavior right there. :) the boys take care of each other really well.

It's interesting you pointed out j-hope as the most admiring... j-hope is called the Mom of the group (their name for him). He showers them all with praise and support.

When I got into the fandom V was also the one who took me a while to figure out, but you’ll get there. And Jungkook actually received several offers to work with but in the end he chose BigHit (which was on the brink of bankruptcy) because he admired RM so much, still does obviously. *RM was the first member joining BTS, that’s why Jungkook was able to see who was already part of that group.

Taehyung was super hyper and mischievous, but over the past couple of years, he's grown up and almost lost interest in causing chaos. A natural progression that comes along with growing up, I suppose, but he seems much more settled these days so I'm happy for him.

I understand your confusion about V tbh, he has a lot to unpack, idk if you'll see this, but I'd like to tell you some things about my bias. V is actually a very smart, unique, innocent and a loving person, he's quiet yet so loud depending on his mood and surroundings. He acts so mature but he's still a child from the inside, the members call him their "happiness preacher", he's so pure and caring about his family, members and friends. His role model is his dad and the members including Tae use what his father said "it's not a big deal" as their slogan when they have a hard time in life. V loves animals and is merciful to insects, he adopted a dog knowing he had health problems after studying about dogs for 6 months. And knowing he's a baritone V had to work harder to fit his deep voice into BTS songs, considering most of their songs are high pitch. Although taehyung is someone who likes old songs, classical music and jazz, he also enjoys rap and is the biggest fanboy of BTS rapline lol. He's so versatile. V is someone who likes to show love and receive love and compliments, he thinks telling someone "I love you" is an important reminder and makes him feel good, even if you compliment yourself it helps with your confidence. 10:00 Koreans will exclaim to a person, "Fighting!" to indicate solidarity, show enthusiasm, and encourage persistence in dealing with a challenging situation. Or a person says it for himself, as RM does here, to indicate, "I'm giving it my best, so I anticipate succeeding!" Sometimes it is more like shouting, "Let's GO!" to cheer for your sports team during a game.

Jungkook is someone who is extremely giving and accepting of love. He realizes the novelty of the position they are in and ensures to appreciate it always. If you see him talk more in videos, the songs he writes and produces, and his words, you'll know how deep his emotional maturity runs, and just how deep his heart is. Suga once said that Jungkook's heart was always very very deep, it just took them a while to realize the depth of it. Maybe it's the same with everyone else. He seems very easygoing but is actually notoriously hard on himself for every little thing. He will smile through the hard times but doesn't hesitate to cry when he's thankful and overwhelmed with love. He's such a pure soul, I really appreciate and love who he is.

I think the members with leadership are RM, Suga and jhope. Jhope leads and guides them when they are monitoring the dance moves, and the members say he is a strict teacher. Iirc, RM once said if he wasn't the leader of bts, jhope would be the leader.

I think you'd really appreciate their MAMA2018 Artist of the year speech! It's probably the most vulnerable they have ever been with us and it's very emotional speech (never fails to make army cry) so I'm not really recommending it for you to analyze them in that moment, but like...just to take it in and to know them.

V is different. People used to call him “Alien, “ but he didn’t like it. Army also refers to Tae Tae World because he often said or did thinks that were odd. RM especially was very protective of V and has said that V is extremely smart and creative. He just sort of lives in his own head and is a free spirit.

When V is in his bag, he's unstoppable! His voice, swag and stage presence will stop you in your tracks. But if he ain't in the mood, he won't hide it. He's quite emotionally sensitive and prone to depression. But he IS the secret sauce. None of it works without him.

V is indeed a fascinating character, and one of the interesting things is that he is quite often the "closer" of songs, videos, interviews, etc. His hand is often seen last covering the camera lens or his voice is the last to be heard. He's also definitely taken the lead in organizational projects. He worked hard on the BE album and led many parts of its design and execution. He's a powerhouse of talent ;-)

V is actually very quiet when it comes to things like interviews etc. but he’s so funny and energetic during concerts, and just generally when he’s spending his free time with other members! Also whenever he seriously talks about others you can feel how genuine he is and how important they’re to him. Jungkook (he joined bts when he was just 15) even said that taehyung was the one that helped him open up the most 💜

rm definitely wants to include everyone, when he does his lives in korean he still tries to translate some of the main parts in english so people who don't speak korean can understand some things right away, even if he knows that subtitles will come later

V's personality, will be the most difficult to understand, he has what is call a 4D personality... he has this mysterious aura but also this almost child behavior, all the members saids that he has this innocences aura... And also a really cute fact, is that Suga saids that "V comes from the stars", because of this sometimes weird behavior, but if you look at him deeply you will realize how cute and mature at the same time, he is. When I got into BTS I had such a hard time understanding who V actually was. It felt like he was a different person every time I saw him. I think V is someone who is pretty closed off, even with people he feels comfortable around. If you still have some problems gauging V I recommend you watching some sort of V + Jimin interaction. There is no secret they are the closest of friends even calling each other soulmates. I feel like when V is with Jimin he is his 100% true authentic self and it’s interesting because I don’t think he comes off like he does when he is togheter with Jimin “normally”

BTS In the Soop (S1) is my favorite of all their variety shows, we get to know the members in the most natural way. Their relationship to each is so precious to witness. They really are a once in lifetime group. As for Suga, he such a sensible and smart guy, so many good things comes out of his mind and he shares it with ARMY.

I empathize and see myself in V a lot. I think V has a hard time putting words to what he's thinking and feeling. Like there's just not the right words out there to express exactly what you're feeling in your heart or thinking. RM however seems to be able to poetically capture the exact essence of what you want to vocalize which is one of the things I find most admirable about him.

"he's always up to something" YES HE IS. jin is so... fuckin weird. I say that with every ounce of love in my body. he's drenched in humor, and he keeps his more serious side to himself. but at the same time, he's not... trying to be extremely funny or trying to make everyone laugh. he's just... like That. there's something a little unhinged, a little chaotic about jin and he knows it. he's truly, truly unpredictable. he's always poking fun at people but he's never unkind. jin is just so.. warm and lovely and trustworthy. RM has a tendency to overthink, to get lost in his thoughts, in his mind, but Jin's always there to pull him out of that, to make him laugh and to lighten things up. Jin's humor can be a little brash sometimes, but it's never intentional. he's quick to recognize his mistakes and take responsibility for them.

As a fellow communications specialist, here's my (unsolicited 😇) reactions wish list: #LongCommentSorryNotSorry • FESTA: Every year in June, BTS commemorates the anniversary of their official debut (13 June 2013). One tradition (which ARMY adores) is basically a round-table discussion in which the members reflect on their achievements, struggles, and goals, and also provide candid insight into themselves and their relationships with each other. It would be fascinating to see you react to two FESTA's: one from their early years (maybe '14 or '15?), versus a more recent one (I recommend '19). Both their evolution and introspection are striking. • A live performance (I recommend "Dope + Silver Spoon + Fire + Run") - I'd love your insights on how the members' individual charms and dualities inform their stage personas, and how the members' awareness of each other, mutual respect, and chemistry as a team set BTS apart as a whole that is somehow greater than the sum of its incredibly impressive parts. Probably 99.9% of people see them perform before getting to know them. For you to have a polar opposite vantage point will be nothing short of utterly fascinating. I appreciate you. 💜

I actually appreciate that he watches full videos instead of crack videos/fan compilations. Because those videos, while entertaining, cuts out a LOT and removes the context and guides the viewers to a certain stereotype of the members based on the creators' POV. As a communication coach, I believe he can judge for himself better with the uncut, full length videos.

When he was younger he used to be quite lively, very age-appropriate, immature and free. However, since 2017, he has shown a more closed behavior, both due to maturity and to possibly traumatic situations that he had been facing. V lost three loved ones in 2017 or around, and as a Psychology professional I know how much unexperienced Grieving can affect someone, and that aside from the problems that we will never have access to. However, V is a wonderful guy, who even as an extrovert is mysterious and likes to keep his best side to friends and family.

One thing I’m really starting to learn from your reactions is that being a leader doesn’t necessarily mean being “in charge.” I get really caught up in the idea of being in charge if you’re a leader, but a lot of your comments about BTS helped me realize that you can have leadership qualities without necessarily ruling over everything.

even though jungkook is the youngest, bts often refer to v as the baby of bts. he's definitely very playful and a trickster when it comes to games. he's the same age as jimin, but jimin often acts as v and jungkook's older brother and is very protective of them. love all the intricate dynamics in this group!

I think the guys were complimenting RM so much because they kind of feel like they can't help him out more because of the language barrier, so they shower him with compliments and encouraging words and show him how much they respect him for doing that, so to make up for him for not being able to do more than these things in this situation, I feel like they feel like they own him for having all the work to himself

V actually has a really interesting personality, he is mostly quiet because he doesn't vibe with everyone. It's really hard to pass his vibe check, but when someone does he can even match J hope's energy level around them. And when he is on stage, it's a completely different story, It's like that guy is born to perform, undoubtedly one of the best performers the world has ever seen. He just has this unique charisma and ofc striking features which make him special.

I think what’s interesting about Taehyung is he grows on you a lot over time. When I first got into BTS, he was the person I noticed the least, I didn’t really form an opinion on him outside of really loving his voice when he sang and that he was gorgeous, but the more content I consumed the more I was able to gain a full picture of the person he is. He is eccentric in many ways and his train of thought is unique to him. He’s usually not very loud but has these moments of excitable or almost innocent energy. He also seems to be very introspective and is a very affectionate person, often staying very close to the other members and seeking or providing touch as a means to communicate instead of verbally. I think the more you delve into their content the more his personality will unfold for you. He’s not the one to be in your face but his personality will fascinate you.

jimin has had so many reasons to become closed off and bitter. he gets a lot of shit for being.. popular? and talented? but the members take such good care of him, and he's so self aware that he's never stopped being kind. he's never stopped looking at the bright side of people, of the world and of life in general. I don't trust people, particularly celebrities, PARTICULARLY celebs as big as bts, but I genuinely, genuinely, truly have so much faith in Jimin. I believe, with all I am, that he is, in every sense of the word; good.

Also, their partnership with UNICEF is very important to them. Their work in the campaigns Love Yourself and Speak Yourself, their donations, etc show how much they care about this work.

One of the best performers in K-POP he's one of the members that receives tons of attention on stage he's super charismatic . And tbh he's most of the time the first member to say "okay let's do it"

Suga is a known bullshitter. He will lie with a straight face and the members call him out on it sometimes. It’s his humor most of the times though. J hope is hopeful but hes also the most reserved when it comes to sharing with fans and the most business oriented. Jimin is duality incarnated. Sure he’s composed and elegant in this video. And yes he speaks calmly and is articulate. He’s also a mess who gets easily flustered and actually is a people pleaser. All these guys are multifaceted but you’re pretty spot on for the first four. About V, when he was younger, in the first years after debut, he was probably the most talkitive and hyper out of all of them but he grew up and matured so he's alot more reserved and mysterious now. He's probably after Rm the smartest in the group (in my opinion), while Rm has, as you said, emotional and logical intelligence, V has a very unique take on things and you can actually see him winning over Rm in some questions on a few quizzes they do because he thinks so outside the box .

I really hope you can react more about bts on different occasions. They really have their duo personality. Sometimes they can be super cute and funny, sometimes they can be super professional and sexy. I really looking forward to your reaction

You're absolutely right. Namjoon has a lot of emotional intelligence. He always notices when a member feels insecure and gives positive feedback, encourages them. Same for V. Especially lately, as they grew in fame and confidence, he has this "I don't care about the camera" vibe. He gives absurd answers in interviews sometimes, and he's also known for not being fake friendly, and not hiding it when he's interacting with another celebrity he doesn't like or feel comfortable. We joke in the Fandom that "this celebrity didn't pass Taehyung's vibe check". And also right for Jin. He's always up to something, always joking, also thinking of a dad joke to say. Ironically, he can be very shy and he's known to get embarrassed and his ears become red when everyone is staring at him. RM is very humble and he can't take compliments lol, he gets shy when they say he's the best leader.

And Jungkook DEFINITELY has a lot of admiration, love and respect for Rm. He joined BigHit because he saw Rm rapping haha, and wanted to go to the same place as him. Jungkook attributes a lot of what he's learned in his life to Rm, and is still his biggest fanboy to this day. And Rm loves his Kookie. To this day, jungkook is the only one that can get away with calling Rm "Rap-Mon Hyung" (short for his old stage name, Rap Monster).

I love how you appreciate Jin, Suga and RM! Each in their own way, they are fantastic.

If you understand Korean, you may notice V sounds a bit awkward when he speaks and often mispronounces or uses the wrong word, they often joke that he can't speak Korean well/is still learning or has his own language, maybe that has a bit to do with it, but as he's gotten older he just seems very calm in general most of the time). I think him being a rapper is one reason why RM is so focused about memorizing his speech perfectly, apart from him taking it very seriously. I think forgetting your lyrics as a rapper is the worst thing that can happen and memorizing every single letter of your lyrics perfectly is much more important for rappers than for singers. If you miss a beat it's almost impossible to get back into it and a lot of the time it's pretty much over. Also what you mentioned about Korean guys being more touchy and affectionate with each other, I think the cultural difference is a big reason why so many Westerners misunderstand and assume they're gay...

I love Tae, aka V. He is such a different kind of person. So endearing. He is quieter and more private in a sense. He is one of those people who is just who he is. He was louder when he was younger. I think he has grown more introspective. He might not always have the words to describe what is going on in his mind but he will find a way to express it. Often thru very special ways and sayings. He is such a sweetheart

In my opinion, V has an on/off switch, sometimes he goes really quiet and contemplative, but when he switches on, he's really hyper, makes a lot of jokes, and expresses himself very well physically and verbally, & I can really relate to him in that way a lot. (also his way of thinking is unique, which can be seen when they're doing quizzes and puzzles for run bts, he always solves them in his own way, it's always really interesting)

Jungkook is shy, introvert and don't want to be the center of attention (although he is the official center of group). He is very kind and humble and never hesitate to help people. He is also very funny (according to BTS the most funniest member).
