I hope y'all will reply to this remember Margaret Hamilton who played the Wicked Witch of the West in the 1939 film classic The Wizard of Oz????!!!!!..in the late ' 60s and the ' 70s she was in Maxwell House coffee commercials her name in the commercials was Cora...she was a sweet lady

My dad said Maxwell House tasted like jail coffee or the crap they gave him in WW2 , he or mom bought Folgers or H&C.

Yes my family did it all the time but not this crap much better coffee and pastries too.☕🍰

Nope, my parents didn't like company. I'll have people over but it's my wife's friends/family (I'll make appearances from time to time to be friendly but mainly stay in my office)

I grew up in a home of Finnish and German heritage. Whilst my late parents didn't have people over to their home for coffee (though my late father and I both consumed quite a bit of it), my late mother often spoke of how her parents (1st Gen North American-born Finns) and her grandparents (naturalized immigrants from Finland) would often have friends/neighbours over for coffee, and always with an ample supply of baked goods to go with it. Kahvi aika (literally, "coffee time") was and still is a pretty big deal in Finnish culture.
