This guy could just sing with little to no background music. He's got strong influences of Marvin Gaye and the Isley Brothers with those high notes. His songs are not very hyper, more relaxing. But he's got that voice and excellent writing and stage presence. No wonder hes won a bunch of awards!

Imho Maxwell's both Freshman and Sophomore albums deserved to win a couple of Grammy's instead of his "TheBLACKsummers'night" album even though I love Bad Habits, Fistful of Tears, and even Pretty Wings. I am aware that he received a couple for his BLACKsummersnight album from 2009. Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite" should definitely have won a Grammy or 2 though.

This track was co- produced by Musze and (importantly) Peter Mokran, who co-produced and played keys with R.kelly on tracks like "Street Thang (Aaliyah)" "it seems like you are ready (R.Kelly)", "I don't want to (Toni Braxton)", "It's on" (Mary J), "Anytime, Anyplace - Remix- (Janet)", "Stroke You Up (Changing Faces)" and so forth..... It's Peter Mokran who "recycled" that sound that you are familiar with 😀 😀.
