Lol. No chicken but pro tip for Pollux’ nails. Do you take them to a fav pet shop to buy food and treats? Ours dremmels toe nails by appointment. So doggos know them super well. We always stay with them. Also if Pollux let’s you handle his paws, he’ll soon let someone else do it if you are there with him. 🐶🐶🐶❤️❤️❤️

Finally Pollux wants to be petted! That is the first time I have seen that. He is barking and saying "thank you!" How beautiful is that? I have to watch that part again.

I have an appointment tomorrow to go meet a shelter dog that looks exactly like Pollux! Fingers crossed that everything goes well and we are able to bring her home and love her as much as y'all love Maxxie and Pollux!

Maxie is so white! And its lovely to see Pollux so well loved and settled in. We have a border collie who we rescued 14 years ago. She was nervous of everything and didn't like being petted at all. She's a contented old lady now and so transformed. Rescue dogs are the best and so rewarding. 😊❤

I have a dog much like Pollux. She's mostly border collie and she has quirks too. She's very protective of her family which can sometimes be a problem. I really try and focus on all her great traits,and not compare her to other dogs. She's a wonderful companion,& has helped me get much needed exercise by walking her. Keep loving your dogs ! They are a blessing .

The best thing to do is to bring Pollack to your vet to do his nails seeing that he's scared. They usually charge about $15 & have have extra help to do it safely & fast & as stress free as possible. I'm a certified master groomer 16 years. I recommend this to parents with dogs that are very difficult with nails. Very important to keep their nails short as it affects there walking, especially when they get old. The quicks get longer if you don't do it enough & then you can only cut a small amount & the nails are still to long. Love watching your channel. Great mommy.❤

I have an appointment with the vet in the morning. Our vet had stopped all unnecessary visits including nail trimming during the virus....but we are going in the morning since the groomer had no luck.

That is probably one of the first times Pollux had a real bath with the blow out and with loving touch.. He is so happy about it I could see it in his eyes.. he is thanking you, that is what he was saying when he was smiling and barking and came to you for petting.. He said, Thank you, I love you.. That's what I saw.. He just feels really good, outside and in his heart.. I'm so glad that you got Pollux.. he is one lucky dog..

Hi! Lovely story with the dogs!! I stardet in 2012 adopting rescuing one dog and now I ended up with 11!! T he german shepperd weights 60kg!! Is not easy cleaning, feefing , caring, playing with 11 big dogs, but is rewarding seeing their happiness and feeling how much they trust and love me!! Take care you and the dogs!!

Renee, you got me through my first year of going grey..and I thank you. Stopped coloring my hair at the end of May 2019. I feel like I have been through the worst of the transition and can not see ever going back Now, I find myself looking forward to your Maxxie and Pollux videos even more than the "going grey" videos. I just love the way you are so patient with Pollux and giving him the time he needs to learn. B/c no one knows what he has been through b/f you rescued him. You are a BLESSING!

The RSPCA in Australia, in conjunction with the NRMA, did extensive safety testing on dog car harnesses. They tested hundreds. At 30km (we are allowed to drive 50 to 110 in Australia) the harness failed. Only two brands passed, one I can't remember but the other was the Sleepypod dog safety harness. I'm not affiliated with them, I don't know them, I just asked my family to buy them for my dog's as my Christmas present. I'm passionate about this. My neighbour thought his dog was safe but, in an accident, the dog projectiled through the front window of the car and hit a tree. He survived but he suffered painful and extensive injuries that cost a lot of money and took a lot of time for him to overcome. Just search NRMA Dog Restraint Test. Oh and the other safe one was the Purina but it was their highest level one. They cost over $100 AU. But worth it.

I love when you show your beautiful little dogs. Maxxie looked like he was smiling at you when you showed his beard, after he'd been groomed. I think Pollux still gets confused of his own "being" of what he is, and who he is in the scheme of things...and the only ones that have brought him out of a dire place of limbo is you and your family....He atleast now knows he's a dog...I think he may always have his little quirks ...These little differences will endear to your heart more and more....as I see they already do...And Maxxie is so cute...I could hug him too....

I was able to get my dog groomed in May. Our salons were open May 14th...& I was on the phone first thing that morning for a cut & foil. It had been 4 months since my last cut. What a relief it was. 👍😉😊

We were a bit luckier here in Brazil ,regarding pet grooming - The shops were allowed to reopen for baths and grooming after a short while,but we have a lot of safety restrictions if we want to take our pets there like : face masks are mandatory ,less appointments per day, hand cleaning materials all around,and,of course,social distancing

I am loving your curls!!! Love the hair and I simply love your family! Maxxie is such a sweet kind soul. The mood he gives when he wakes up and puts his paw up is the most precious thing I have ever seen. I am so glad Pollux is opening up. He really is showing so much love. Hi! Pollux needs his nails trimmed BAD! I'm actually taking him to the vet in the morning so they can get it done. He isn't scheduled for his annual checkup visit until September...and his nails can not wait! Maxxie is a sweetie. Always loving and kind :)
