Yes, back then, we had quality people representing us in Ottawa. Now, quality and qualifications have taken a back seat and that’s why we’re in such a mess

It is very bad that John Turner ended up patting women's posteriors or rears. This shows how he was completely out of touch with advocating for women's rights to be respected. It is very disappointing. He never apologized to the women he patted for what he did.

The house of commons looked different back then. Mostly men and white and some women....looks a little Bay Street but that is ok.

​@@janetmaxwell222 It is much more diverse nowadays, including on the Conservative side. It's something Canadians take for granted now, but really should be very proud about. Especially that even the Conservative Party is fairly diverse.
