He taught many Sunday School & Small Group series from your body of work and always valued your wisdom. The song “Sometimes He Calms the Storm” by Benton Kevin Stokes and Tony W. Wood beautifully communicate this truth: Sometimes He calms the storm With a whispered “Peace, be still.” He can settle any sea, But it doesn’t mean He will. Sometimes He holds us close And lets the wind and waves go wild; Sometimes He calms the storm, And other times He calms His child.

Meaningful Moments April 2021 I savor my meaningful moments I keep them in a jar... a ticket from a concert a happy babies laugh a cuddle with a puppy a flower photograph a button off my favorite blouse a cloud in a clear blue sky a lock of hair from my daughter's brow I have gathered up so many moments in my jar somehow my life is rather ordinary some say dull and mundane so I grab these tiny moments they may not come again my jar is packed with moments so when my day seems dreary with no sparkle or delights I reach for my jar of moments and I forget about my plight I remember as I am dusting moments here and there that I drank in and savored every drop of life's sweet nectar rare today I placed into my jar... a kitten's fuzzy ears a mother walking with her babe ...that brought my eyes to tears a bird singing in the meadow... its song so sweet and true a pair of warm and cuddly socks...a lovely shade of blue a place I once loved to go... that isn't anymore a slow and easy walk along a lakeside shore a kiss and then another that happened so long ago meaningful moments that need to be remembered for their beauty is beyond compare put into my pocket to travel here and there but before I sleep I will safely keep them in the jar upon the shelf the moments that I collected that are special to myself

i finally feel at peace even if it's just temporary or "the calm before the storm" confessing things in a letter, i've never felt better in this moment and i'm thankful to God for it no matter what happens next. i'm no longer scared of the truth just my past actions. but i don't feel guilty anymore.
