I used to ship Lucaya so hard, but after watching some edits, and paying attention more in the recent episodes, it seems one sided. It looks like Maya likes Lucas a lot more then he likes her. I'm not saying he doesn't like her, but it seems like he doesn't really know who he likes and it's honestly sad. I'd love for Lucaya to happen, but Maya deserves someone who is completely in love with her. She already has a hard life (she has said before, she is broken) and it would just be really sad if she was in a one sided relationship.

Watching Girl Meets Texas I see how Maya does have some sort of feelings for Lucas. But I've always noticed how Lucas and Riley had feelings for each other. I like the dynamic in Lucaya, but their dynamic is just more like the Topanga/Shawn thing, teasing and joking as friends. Where with Lucas and Riley, it's just right. And a part of me is all for Maya/Josh

I have all my respect for Rucas, but... whoever says Riley and Lucas have "chemistry" has obviously never experienced a true relationship. This was amazing! I have watched a lot interviews where Danielle says they are trying to focus on friendship of four ppl rather than a couple! This situation is very realistic! Both things make sense Riley liking Lucas cuz they are alike and Maya liking him cuz he is like Riley! It's all super confusing in this transition time called middle school. i think that riley and lucas have a spark, you can just see how obvious their feelings are towards each other, but with maya and lucas i dont see that spark at all, i just see them both as friends maybe frenemies, they are like shawn amd topanga. i dont know if riley and lucas would end up together in the end, but it was obvious they had feelings for each other where i as i dont see that between him and maya. The way josh looked at maya at his college when she was explaining that she actually does know him and why she likes him, that was amazing chemistry. as For farkle hes awesome! him and rileys friendship is Adorable☺️ i hope the writers dont ruin that friendship. overall theyre all in their last year of middle school and they just need each other right now and theyre still young and i think the end game should be them all being friends, no relationships😊

for those who love the rucas: you can say what you want but the Rucas only had a little kiss that lasted only a second but nothing more .... The Lucayas with their almost kiss have thrilled a lot. I know that Lucas at the end chooses Riley but it's thanks to Maya that she sacrifices her feelings for her friend's happiness and it's not a little thing to let the guy she likes join her best friend

I really liked this video. I was led to GMW through tumblr. I follow someone who absolutely loves Lucaya. I decided to watch one day. I binged watched all of season 1 and season 2 (up to 2x25). I am head over heals for Rucas. Although I can see what is intriguing about Lucaya, I just enjoyed Rucas much more. However, I will say, that above all my favorite in the show is Rilaya. They have a wonderful relationship. I can't wait to see how they will navigate their friendship in high school. I expect that they will be through some difficult times. I can see Riley's innocence and naiveté have begun to fade away. Her smiles are more forced, she's not being truthful to her friends. I hope to see Riley and Maya mature and grow closer together. late -Billy

GUYS SUDDEN REALIZATION. Right Katie told Maya said when you're acting as someone you're close to your feelings might be confused and that she might find a secret about the person. Maya obviously didn't find a secret about Riley but her feelings were confused. However it's not what everyone thinks. Maya isn't the one who sees Lucas as her brother and neither is Riley. Maya thought Lucas and Riley were brother and sister because they're so alike and she liked Lucas so much and was so tired of hiding her feelings that she actually believed that.

Ummm through out the whole series basically Maya's been hiding her feelings to spare Riley's but no one seems to notice that. You can't catch feelings for someone over night. +Mileyforlifex, you did a beautiful job on this video! Thank you for drawing out all of the angles in these relationships :). I apologize for my novel of a reply! But I've been bottling this up for a while. My thoughts... I wonder why GMW only shows tidbits of Josh, and of Charlie too. If those two guys are going to end up being with the girls, then why are they just around sporadically? Also, people have complained that the show doesn't address 'real life issues', but junior highers (right? aren't they in junior high?) are at the stage where they are embarrassed of their crush feelings. For instance, in earlier episodes of BMW, Corey was busy trying to convince his friends that he didn't like Topanga. You would see glimpses of their chemistry...but that's all. I see that Riley is more affectionate towards Farkle...until after she tells Lucas that she loves him (Lucas) as her brother. After the Texas episodes, Riley was more comfortable around Lucas, and she become more affectionate and relaxed around him. And Maya is more flirtatious/teasing towards Lucas, while she stumbles all over herself around Josh. When I was in junior high, I liked a guy in my group of friends. I'd avoid eye contact with the guy a liked, and I'd definitely be clumsy; and yet, I'd be completely comfortable with all of my other guy friends who I didn't have a crush on. My point to all of this is, people are obsessing over the fact that Maya and Lucas tease each other more, and perhaps get closer more often; but that's just the way that FRIENDS behave at that age! They have to get their flirting out in some form ;). Ultimately, I'm pretty okay no matter how the couples end up. I'm just requesting that someone end up with another someone, because this going back and forth is getting frustrating! Side note: All of the characters are amazing, & all of their chemistry is beautiful to watch! So GMW should definitely keep that up!
