I'm from the UK but I've never experienced this which is a shame. Thanks to those who organise these events so that we don't lose our cultural traditions.

Does anyone know what the music is? I'm sure I danced maypole to this same music as a young child, and I haven't heard it for over 20 years!

Hi George. They dance in and out to "Roast Beef of Old England", and the dance itself is to "The Hundred Pipers"

They're fine dancers as well, Simon. It's great to see children dancing the maypole to more traditional music: a trend down here in Kent at the moment seems to favour doing the same dances but to modern pop!
