I have a Maytag A310 Washing machine that agitates fine but clicks off when it goes into spin. I've replaced the motor and belts and it still does the same thing. Without the belts on it the motor runs fine.

Thanks for the video. Question. I have a the same washer. It works in spin cycle and pumps water out. But when it goes into agitate, the washer hums, doesn't agitate, produces a burning smell and eventually trips the circuit breaker. What are your thoughts on this? The motor or the transmission? Again the motor works for the spin cycle but in agitate it doesn't. If I manually turn the pulley counter clockwise the agitator does agitate. So I'm thinking the motor isn't working in counterclockwise direction. Thanks.

That's exactly what mine just did. There is a slight oil leak dripping on my belt. Normal loads are fine but heavy loads she smokes up from the belt slipping. I need to fix the leak before a new belt.

@@trieupham6690 So with my washer and symptoms described above it ended up being a bad timer. One of the contacts was blown and in agitate mode the motor wasn't get the correct voltages on all four wires. I replaced the timer and problem went away (agitate worked). I originally thought I had a bad motor and replaced it but got the symptoms. I also built a motor test cable and determined the old motor was good. Then I thought it might be the transmission but I was able to rotate the transmission pulley in both direction and observed normal behavior. That's when I determined it must be the timer.
