Found Thomas a few years when I was about 280lbs. He's not my guru but has given me so much ammo and desire to learn more. Soon after I finding Thomas and beginning my journey I found Mark Bell.. Then Paul Saladino.. It may be an "echo chamber" but I think there's a lot of diversity in that chamber. Since finding these guys and using their advice.. I'm down 80lbs and feeling better every week. Great podcast!

This was a great interview/appearance. Hearing Thomas drop F bombs was funny because I consume a lot of his content and he comes over as very boy scout (in a good way). I find that deep dives into what IF and keto are doing help me with adherence and are just interesting to watch/learn in general. And along with the whole panel, IF/Keto is just far easier than any other diet method for me. I tried IFFYM and calorie restriction and it was effective but torturous and you always "feel" the deficit. Keto is an adjustment, but after the adjustment you just cruise and its super easy and never feel wasted or wanting for energy.

I've been watching Thomas's videos for a few years now and have learned a lot! As a 60 year old semi retired powerlifter, I'm feeling better than I have in years. The naysayers haven't given themselves enough time to become fat adapted and haven't reaped the benefits of being fat adapted and from fasting. I love your videos! Keep up the open minded good work!

My 9 year old walked into the room and in surprise asked "is that Thomas 😲". The name Thomas deLauer has been a household name here since his birth and whilst we still kept following the channel we stopped watching the content. The podcast with Layne was the reintroduction of me following Thomas's content again. And this podcast just shows a different side and an evolution of Thomas and how the information and science is presented. Get in with Greg Doucette and you would hit the trifecta. Great podcast guys with a great guest. 💯

The variety of guests and discussions has challenged me to rethink and actually do something about several lifestyle habits that will benefit me in a variety of ways physically and mentally/emotionally. Thomas is outstanding. I wish keto worked better for me, but maybe I need to tweak it or spot modify it around increased hard exertion. Maybe I’m not giving it enough time. Thank you again everyone! What's considered low carb? And I'm not talking keto level of carbs. Cause I'm starting off eating between 100-150g of carbs, while lifting weights 4x a week n cardio the other days. Is that too high for carb consumption?
@otheh2636

Ok here's some info that might help. The average westerner eats 300 g of carbs a day. The official daily recs etc..is 100 g a day. From what I understand the best for low carb is between 50-20 grams a day for low carb. So for myself, which is a 42 year old women. I personally have to switch between 100-20g depending on where I am in my cycle. Hope that helps.
