I know all these guys in the video are already in good shape - but for those of us with chronic diseases, fasting is essential for healing, and works like nothing else i've ever tried.

Leo was so good …he spoke science based and if science didn’t support it he would just say he hasn’t seen support in science but maybe it’s true. His word was reliable and not bias

I’m 38 been training Jiu Jitsu fasted for the last two years except Tuesday/ Thursday cus I need to attend the 6pm class. I 100% feel better when I train fasted, I’m able to enter flow more easily, I get more engaged in the activity. I’d argue that your capacity to focus and make decisions could be more important than strength in Jiu Jitsu.

I lost a ton of weight while fasting BUT the cons that come and the eating disorders that can form can change you as a person

im 28 and i have done all the fasting, long saltwater fasts for 3 &5 dayz, and some dry fasts for 36-72, and a lot of intermittent fasting, but im naturally very lean and active, its not for me at this stage of life, in fact i think i may have to quit coffee as well. i run 3-5 miles a day and lift heavy 3x a week and sauna 4-5 times a week. i feel like i need to keep my window wide open for more calorie intake

💊 Intermittent fasting can benefit longevity, clarity of mind, and insulin sensitivity. - Fasting can retrain hunger cues and provide gut rest. - Intermittent fasting can be beneficial for bodybuilding and muscle building by manipulating insulin sensitivity. 💊 Intermittent fasting and calorie manipulation for weight management - Manipulating timing and calorie intake is key - Look at calories over the course of a week, not just each day 💊 Training fasted and fed can optimize glucose tolerance and fat oxidation. - Ketogenic diets reduce glutamatergic activity and increase gaborergic activity, making people calmer. - Low protein ketogenic diets can increase brain integrity later in life and reduce damage caused by insulin resistance and high glucose levels. 💊 Fasting for 5 days every month improves concentration - Fasting for 5 days every month improves nutrient sensing and cellular stress - High levels of cardiovascular exercise while fasting can speed up the process 💊 Time-restricted feeding can retrain hunger cues and be beneficial for gut rest. - Calorie control can be achieved through time-restricted feeding. - Fasting is not a magic bullet, but can be valuable for retraining hunger cues and gut rest. 💊 Fasting is beneficial for longevity, but not ideal for older individuals. - Fasting works fantastically well up front, but there's attenuation down the line. - One meal a day is not ideal for an aging individual, two meals with 50g+ protein is better. - Long term effects of fasting need to be considered, as it doesn't work in a straight line. 💊 The main question about fasting is the right dosing and strategic use. - Fasting works by activating autophagy, ubiquination, and signal pathways. - Intermittent fasting can lead to better hunger signals and intuitive eating. 💊 Fasting can activate mechanisms that improve health, and can be complemented with fiber-rich diets. - Fasting can activate gut bacteria that produce beneficial bacteria, which can improve health. - Fasting can also improve insulin sensitivity through fiber-rich diets, which can help with weight loss and overall health. 💊 Fasting can help control hunger and become a useful tool - Fasting trains you not to always respond to hunger - Be conscious of traumas and overdoing it with fasting 💊 Beast, feast, fast, and sleep to trigger the right hormones for a healthy life. - Starting with a feast of nourishing food can make the hard part of fasting easier. - A ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting work well together for a healthy lifestyle. 💊 Fasting and electrolytes can help manage hunger and maintain muscle. - Fasting gives clarity of mind and energy. - Electrolytes help manage hunger and cravings. 💊 Intermittent fasting and training on an empty stomach can improve mental clarity. - Intermittent fasting has been practiced for over 7-8 years. - Eating less food and keeping activity levels high helps in weight loss.

Nsima is 230? 250lbs right now? How do you get 250g of protein into your system on a fasting schedule with only few hours to eat (or in one or two meals)...also cutting out carbs... Fasting is a weight losers game (or for a restorative protocol) , not gainer or maintainers game

It works at muscle catabolism also. It depends on your goals. If you don't care about building muscle then it's great but for those who want to build as much muscle as possible it's not ideal.
