Junk Warrior is by far my favorite monster card, not just synchros. He's the poster boy for the synchro mechanic in just about every way. Genuinely the most quintessential synchro of all time

I love synchros so much, easily my favorite summoning mechanic! Crystal Wing, Psychic End Punisher, Stardust Dragon, Charge Warrior, Trishula, etc. Just amazing cards!

Got to give it to my original Synchro Boss, Hi-Speedroid Chanbara. Made OTKing with True King Dinos before Cyberstorm Access easy to do. Plus, it made getting a Jurrac Aeolo worth it back then. Haven’t used it in ages, but I still have a lot of fond memories of it from my early days of playing.

It was mentioned in the video, but I have to include my story regarding it. My all-time favorite Synchro Monster is none other than Black Rose Dragon. Ever since I first saw it in the anime, I was absolutely floored by how beautiful it was, and its effect was busted as all hell. Ever since then, I've used it in nearly every deck I've had that could use Synchros. There's also a much more sentimental story here. Growing up, my mom actually supported my collection, and she was always a fan of roses in general, so I decided to show her Black Rose when I got a hold of my first copy. She even saw it as a beautiful card. Unfortunately, though, she passed away in December of 2020 (thankfully not Covid), and I still grieve her passing to this day. However, about a year later, I happened to show my fiancee this deck I had found online that was a somewhat expensive Black Rose deck, and they actually bought the deck for me for that Christmas. It wasn't a great deck, admittedly, but I was happy to have a deck based around Rose Dragons. Now, my Rose Dragon deck is probably the most competitive deck I have, and when I play the deck, I play it in memory of my mom, too. It's almost like having a little piece of her in my deck. I run 2 Black Rose in the deck; 1 Quarter Century Rare, one El Dorado alternate art version.

My favourite Synchro is Goyo Guardian but only because I have a very fond memory with it. Regionals, Im 2-0 so far, not a single loss and feeling good but the pressure is rising, competition is getting tougher. I sit down to my third match up and I roll to go first. I do my plays, good opening and I end with Goyo Guardian on the field and 2 backrow protection..nice! Upon seeing the Goyo Guardian I notice my opponents face drop and he gives me a piercing stare but I ignore it. He is playing Zombies and Goyo is a nightmare for him. He manages to remove Goyo with a Dark Hole and get some small play but on my next turn I revive Goyo, and this is where the fond memory comes from....my opponent just looses is and yells..'that fucking monster should be banned for eternity' before promptly getting up and walking away muttering to himself. Everyone around us just burst into laughter, it was amazing.

My favorite's probably F.A. Dawn Dragster, and not even necessarily for it's negate. You never realize how much of a psychopath you might be until you enjoy the fear in an opponent's eye when you OTK them with it, Vylon Cube, and United We Stand.

Stardust dragon being synchro summoned in the anime just had so much weight to it.

Of all synchros I’ve played, which is admittedly not many, I don’t think there’s one with a bigger place in my heart than Battlewasp Ballista the Armageddon. On name alone he gets major points, but there’s also the fact he’s a level 12 synchro who’s only purpose is to be a beat stick. Unless 3500 is all that stands between you and game, there’s never a reason to summon him and I love him for that.

My favorite is Geomathmech Final Sigma. I started playing Mathmech on Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution and Final Sigma allowed me to clear the entirety of the challenge duels in an afternoon. Between it being a towers, using mathmech multiplication to make it a 6k beater and mathmech billion blade to regularly send something like division to absolutely merc them on their attacks

my favorite thing about the first #Synchro monster ever seen in the anime, the iconic #JunkWarrior, is that for the first several episodes there was no way to tell it wasn't just a #ContactFusion between Junk Synchron and Speed Warrior because Speed Warrior is just glued to Yusei's starting hand

My favorite Synchros have to be Flower Cardian Lightflare and Hundred Eyes Dragon. Having played a ton of Flower Cardian and Infernity, both archetypes being near and dear to my heart, I can’t help loving both of their boss monsters. Also, seeing Hundred Eyes summoned in the anime was such an impactful moment. Honorable mention to Ursarctic Septentrion because I love the design and the archetype as a whole, including the mechanic.

Ghoti of the deep beyond and final sigma, it's wild I been playing the game since it's TCG release and these two are the first syncro monsters that made me want to actually play a syncro deck and not just because it's what is needed at the time.

I have two: one serious, one jokey. The serious one is Vulcan the Divine. Such awesome card artwork, and a somewhat useful effect, to boot. The joking one is Thor, Lord of the Aesir, if only because as a furry I have to chuckle at the concept of a Beast-Warrior named Thor whose primary way of summoning himself is with a horse. If you know, you're lying to yourself about knowing, and if you don't know... hats off to you for being ignorant.

Junk Warrior is my favorite synchro. I was an actual child when 5ds came out and he was always my favorite card. I remember being excited when I finally got him and threw him into my 500 card pile I would use on the playground.

Dragunity Knight - Ascalon Yes, it's Accesscode Talker at home, but it's just a really cool design.

Chaos Ruler is the GOAT. Mill 4/5 cards? Yes. Add a card to the hand? (often a extender or a handtrap), Yes. Revive on the same turn for no reason? Yes. Trigger a Thunder Dragon in the graveyard (or hand) while it revives? YES. While is completely understandable why it got banned, is the most fun card I have ever played. Close second is Psychic End Punisher, extremely easy to make in P.U.N.K. and often wins the game by itself.

Chaos Angel not needing Tuners at all and popping out spot Banishes every time it gets summoned does it for me. Synchro Summon? Spot banish. Outed and brought back? Spot banish. Zealantis loop? Spot banish. Yeah you're almost never going to spam it like that since that turns off your protections, but just knowing that you can if you need to is enough.

Cyberse Quantum Dragon is such a cool card

Gem-knights may be my favorite archetype but Synchro monsters have been my favorite monster type ever since I first saw Junk Warrior scrap fisting Yusei’s enemies.

Synchro Ib. She's the epitome of the storytelling of the World Legacy storyline, and deserved her happy-ish ending.

This is such a hard question with so many of my favorite archetypes being synchro-centric (Mannadium, Speedroids, and PUNKs specifically). I’d have to give that number one spot to High-Speedroid Clear Wing Rider. It’s honestly so fun to climb into it off of 1 Terrortop and nuke an opponent’s board with a freaking bike. Number 2 is probably Chaos Ruler. It’s just so cool looking! Honorable mentions to Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, Dragite, Magikey Beast Transfurlmine, Junk Speeder, PEP, Cosmic Blazar Dragon, and the PUNK synchros for being really awesome as well.

Started off with my favorite. Stardust dragon artwise is one of my favorite cards of all time especially the background of the card. Normally I don't really focus on that but seeing beautiful stars in the sky with the vibrant green on the bottom just brought out the beauty that is stardust's design even more. Shooting Majestic Star dragon however just takes it soo much further beyond and yet i love them both the same.

Shoutout to Penguin Brave and Red Supernova Dragon. I have no idea how to connect those two but they're rad

Junk Warrior is the first synchro I ever started using. Made a deck completely around it using Nimble Mamonga, Giant Germ, and Mecha Bunny as the main defense and a few cards to shuffle them back into the deck during battle phase. Then once their lifepoints were low enough, I would drop Junk Warrior, then move to battle and activate Magical Arrows so my opponent couldn't really do anything to stop me. That was a long time ago though, back when I was still rocking Solarflare Dragon

I do remember Majestic star dragon being one of my favorite synchros from the anime, with the og rda as a close second as a kid, but oh god I instantly fell in love for the design of ScarLight Rda when the arc v anime first dropped. Ultimately tho none of them takes the spot of favorite synchro which has to be Dragunity Knight Barcha, that dude just summons 4 tuners bcz YES/10

My favorite Synchro Monster is Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend. Personally, I think it has one of the best card artworks in the entire game, plus it's one of Jack Atlas's cards, and he's my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! character of all time. Honorable mention to Junk Destroyer, because the starter deck it came from was one I picked up and played casually back in the day when I initially got back into the game. I would love to see an upgraded version of Junk Destroyer in the modern game.

Dark Highlander, I bought the 1st volume of the 5ds manga at a scholastic book fare in middle school and he came with it. I could never really get him out cause my decks were always bad, but he has always held a special place in my heart.

Daigusto Sphreeze is my favorite synchro. The Gusto archetype got me back into yugioh back in 2010/11 and they were the deck I was trying so hard to play for around 4 years.

I'm glad someone mentioned crystal wing, as a teen ina group who didnt have the money to go much beyond whatever we happened to make and I had a spare £30 to buy a handful of cards to add to my D/D/D structure deck and isntantly became the villain of my entire friend group, dethroning the blue eyes player who would body summon ancient gear knight or chocolate magician girl pass with a beautiful big body with a negate slapped on top was such a fun feeling, I still ended up losing games but I kinda thank crystal wing for teaching me both about cards that can be sticky and interactive, even if it did intially lead to a "how many negates can I make" mindset until I started pllaying decks like post structure and post schism shaddoll and learning about other interruptions.

So I have no real childhood connection to this card, but Hama the conquering bow is a synchro card I’ve always just really liked. It’s got a dope design, a really neat effect, and I love having it as a gimmicky option in my beetrooper deck since the battlewasps and dragonbite work really well with them. Idk Hama’s just that one synchro I’ve always liked.

Hi-speedroid clear wing rider. Its funny how the big board clear and damage push is just a remote control toy bike. It feels funny to see someone in shock seeing it and be like "DA FUCK THIS IS A LV11 WITH THAT GOOD OF AN EFFECT?!"

Omega as a go-to Level 8 for the mid 2010s was my jam. I also have fond memories of playing Omega & DPE in 2022 Sky Striker as back up dancers because they could both tag themselves out.

Fortune Lady Every was the best Lightsworn monster I played in Grass Witchcrafter.

Mine would definitely have to be AFD, not for any of the FTK/wombo combo reasons, but because it made F.A. so much more playable. That shit was my Table 500 jam back in the day. Haven't tried it out with errata'd AFD, mainly because I don't play anymore due to the one+two punch of basically zero support at any of my local gamestores and disillusionment with the speed (and price) of the modern game. I mostly play MTG these days, primarily limited and getting my shit rocked by tryhards with too much money each commander night, but still follow you and a few other YGO channels because YGO has become just such an infinitely entertaining train wreck to watch continuously hurtle toward destruction.

My favorite has always been Arcanite Magician. Back in the day I would force him into so many extra decks along with Tempest Magician on the off chance I could make the two of them together. Nothing beat the feeling of using Arcanite to pop every card on my opponents board and then dumping my hand to put spell counters on him with Tempest to super charge his atk. If they somehow survived that then Tempest Magician would just burn them out for game. It didn't happen often but it was my pet combo for a long time.

When I began playing Yu-Gi-Oh competitively, my one goal, my white whale, was pulling baronne de fluer. She was "meta" back then, the perfect boss monster for any Synchro deck. And she was incredibly expensive. So i would save all my money and buy Maze pack upon Maze pack upon Maze pack. Then it happened. I found her, my very own baronne de fluer. I was one of the cool Yu-Gi-Oh players with the expensive staples. I played the hell out of that card, summoned her every chance I got, even if it costed me the game. She's worthless now after the quarter century reprints(I even got my self a pcr and pur copy) but I still love that card. For a lot pf people, it was a frustrating meta card, and a terrifying glimpse into the generic staple extra deck we see so often, but to me, it was so much more.

Synchros are my favourite summoning mechanic, and I didn't even grow up with 5Ds (DM was what I watched as a kid). Nonetheless, when I first got into the game in 2013, Synchros were what appealed to me the most. It's hard to choose just one, so here are a selection: 1) Stardust Dragon - Great effect aside, I also really like it's design. Equal parts monstrous and serene, Stardust Dragon looks like no other dragon in media. Kazuki Takahashi really outdid himself with this one. 2) Satellite Warrior - Multiple card destruction and a way to close out the game, Satellite Warrior is a rarity among Synchron's pay-offs, and I wish there were more cards similar to it. Konami - PLEASE retrain the Yusei Warrior Synchros!!! 3) Askaan, the Bicorned Ghoti - Ghoti is one of my favourite Synchro archetypes to come out in the past few years, and while the big pay-off is obviously Deep Beyond, I think Askaan is equally as important, if not more so. Banishing spot-removal is great, and the fact that it can SS itself at any point in the duel makes it truly valuable in grindy game states.

For me, it's Archfiend Zombie Skull and Scrap Archfiend. Scrap because it was my first ever Synchro and i splashed that in pretty much everything. Zombie Skull because because of it's effect and typing. I would run the usual Zombie deck and put in it and Plaugespreader so that way i could summon out Zombie Skull then chain Torrential Tribute. It made quite a few people i dueled in my local library mad as hell.

Between Naturia Beast and Mecha Phantombeast Concoruda. Concoruda saw play in some early Raccoon decks since it could protect the Kagemusha token.

Desert Locust is neat, it's super fun whenever it can go off, I play it in my melffy deck.
