Күн бұрынLet's learn all about this fabulous pattern so you can sew a dress that you'll wear over and over again. This video shares all the details about McCall's 7970, a loose fitting, pullover dress with four different design options to choose.
Basic sewing skills required. Do not attempt sewing this dress as a first project. If sewing Views C and D, prepare to be patient because it's very time consuming assembling all the ruffles.
Make sure you watch the entire video because there's a fashion show at the end where I show you what the dress looks like on the body with movement.

Love the dress on you! I’m only 5 foot tall so I thinking all those ruffles would overwhelm my body. I’d probably make the view that doesn’t have them and just make it into a maxi.

Beautiful dress! I would love to see some videos about your personal style, how you put outfits together, how you choose your fabrics, etc. You always look so classy and gorgeous. And truthfully, I'd love to know what kind of undergarments you find work best. You wear a lot of off the shoulder clothing, and I wonder if you found a comfortable strapless bra, use silicone bras, etc.

One thing I noticed about this beautiful dress is that the ruffles are not layered in a straight line, is that correct? I like it In any event, you did your thang!!! It fits you so well. Thanks as always for sharing!

Your dress is Beautiful! BTW, I hear you say that you use Nancy Zieman pivot and Slide method to enlarge your patterns. Would this method work on a bodice with a side dart? have you tried this method? Thank you for your response.

I'm a new sewer but can't you use the gathering presser foot for this project to save time and to make it easier to sew? Your dress is beautiful.

Hmmm... I don't remember but I was cutting a size 10 for most patterns when I made this dress. My bust was 36 and waist was 31. I hope that helps.
