Seeing an OWNER work the line with the rest of the crew, watching him pull his weight, not slacking, and being friendly/professional the whole time is inspiring. This is what I wish every owner/manager was like. There is no better way to create a hardworking/fun/happy workplace than seeing the top dog work with the "normal" folks. Props to you for running your Mcdonald's like a restaurant vs a fast food place. Not to mention your Mcdonald's looks 10000000x more clean than anyone I've been inside of in my life. I would drive an extra 30 min to come to your store and pass 10 other McDonald's on the way. Cannot compliment you enough on this. Just amazing all around really. New fan and subscriber!!!!!!!

As someone that worked at McD's in the 90s and has an appreciation for assembly line efficiency I find these videos fascinating, love seeing the changes from 20 years ago. I also feel that those holding cabinets are the reason McD's quality is subpar compared to when items were served fresh off the grills and only stored for 10 minutes after assembly.

I think the reason why is so they can cut back on labor. You only have someone on the grill during the busiest times, and every other time you can just cook a bunch of stuff and fill up the trays. The same person can do both jobs.

At BK it was 3 different boards back in the day. Whopper was it own spot then you had spec for deep fried stuff and chicken sandwiches. and then the other side of the whopper board was for all the other sandwiches. But that was in a time where you could get 2 for 2 bucks whoppers!!! so they were insane popular.

simple menu is the only way to serve it fresh and delicious...although somehow cookout has a million menu options and somehow comes close to in n out if you get a burger, fries, and chicken quesadilla + milkshake. I think another way to add menu items is to have some of them work well when held hot. Like a qusadilla isn't gonna get nasty when held hot, nor will a hot dog. mcdonald's has all these different patties and eggs and specific menu items that require hot holding which is unfortunate.

Currently trying to get a bump up to Crew Trainer at the location I work at, and something I’ve always struggled with is line; but since I’ve discovered your videos this has kinda helped me learn how to be more efficient and quick.

I work at a starbucks and we're always telling eachother "my bad" and responding with "nah youre good". Its nice seeing that small things like that carry on to other places of work. Especially one as hectic as mcdonalds.

This behind the scenes is really fascinating. It looks like you are "enjoying" it, or at least very professional and optimized(especially helping out different stations when you clear yours). I know it's a hot controversial topic, but I see an area that almost begs to be optimized with mechanics/robotics. Namely the assembly line of the sandwich. As long as the hoppers remain filled (which it looks like there already is a system for) it would assemble the "default" sandwiches to order. Special orders I would say be the only thing needing human intervention, though even that in the future can be mechanized.

I hate the mcd morning menu because I can't eat when I wake up and have to leave the house hungry. I love having breakfast with bigmac and hate when I have to come to work a little earlier because it's earlier than I can order the standard mcd's menu anyways, great work, your videos are so satisfying
