@@noahrojas6547 yourve lost the plot I literally just wasted my time doing that for you. 1 you can't see if he stood on his foot or not because of the photographer in the orange hat stood ring side.. secondly, as long as it's not deliberate if a punch lands and your hand touch's the floor you get a count. I'm a southpaw I boxed in the Malmö box cup for England in 2014 many of times sparring and competition it's happend that's definitely not a slip lad

@@Rico-gd9my An official knockdown is ruled in boxing when a fighter is punched and: a) a part of his/her body other than the feet touch the canvas (such as his butt or glove) b) when a fighter is being held up by the ropes (i.e. the fighter would have fallen had the ropes not been there) c) when a fighter is hanging on, through or over the ropes and d) cannot protect himself and, for whatever reason, is lodged on a position where he can't fall A slip or fall to the canvas by a boxer, resulting in any of the above conditions, is not a knockdown

@@javelinn3749 In MMA, a TKO is a finish by strikes such that the ref calls it off due to a fighter "not defending himself intelligently", but who is CONSCIOUS. Whereas a KO is a finish by strikes such that the ref calls it off when a fighter is UNCONSCIOUS..... Conor was unconscious. His arms were hanging limply by his sides on the canvas as Dustin ground n pounded his face in. He was OUT. It was a KO.

it certainly was not a knockdown as described in the title, but in all fairness, the boxer in blue was utilising his range and managing his distance really well... especially with a fast oppressor like Conor... he moved well... i feel it was more of an off balance though,not exactly a knockdown,but nevertheless, I would be proud n upload it too if i ever saw Conor's balance distrbed by my touch/ jab. so kudos!

the reason he fell makes it clearly not a KD but it is a problem. cuz he was crossing his feet moving back so as he was pulling back he was about to step back with his right leg, the leg that got tripped, and thats why he fell.

And no idc about punch stats i watched the match 3 times and connor did not land very much of anything clean, besides the UC and a handful of Jabs! And anyone who honestly thinks Floyd was giving anywhere near 100% in that match is kidding themselves.. Floyd hardly trained for that fight and it showed, his reflexes and speed where nowhere near what we always saw from him.. Also he is the best counter puncher with hands in any combat sport and he looked sloppy!! Plus he was out of the ring for what 3-4 years? I can't stand Mayweather but i have to be honest, he was not sharp at all and was still toying with Mac! And make no mistake had the fight not been stopped, connor was getting KO or TKO no doubt about that!! Conor was done and was getting wobbled in that 10th round! Just the Facts! Conor can never beat Floyd in Boxing and the biggest mistake for Conor would be fighting Pacquiao!!!!! That match will not last 5 rounds and would end in a Brutal Cold KO!

People talk about losing balance, but for a decent boxer to lose balance like this is really bad. He stays too heavy on the feet, his movement is bad and he's lucky this kid is afraid. 0:15 horrible pivoting, and he wasn't supposed to do that at all but to cut him the other way. He has good power, good reflexes and he's a really good athlete, but when it comes to pure boxing skill it's very low

I might be wrong so correct me: 1- they are clearly purely boxing, not MMA 2- hence, boxing rules apply: if your body is off balance and you get punched then anything besides your feet touched the ground, it is ruled as a knockdown ( watch prince nasseems fight vs kevin kelly where he gets punched while leanung away off balance and he touches the canvas with his glove, it was ruked a knockdown and he was counted down) 3-here conor was ducking to the right side, he got double punched and went off balance touching the ground with his glove. hence a knockdown in boxing. he clearly lost balace by getting punched, so I dont see how this was a slip. I might be wrong so please correct me

Two shots landed and his hand kept him off the canvas. Knockdown for sure unless ruled a slip by the ref.

Its misleading when you say knocked down by an amateur boxer because that guy is a very skilled fighter. I had fought over 250 times before making a decision to start professional boxing and that is normal for most fighters to fight that many times in the amateur ranks before turning pro. by the looks of it I bet this guy has at least a 100 or 200 fights under his belt. so, that is why im saying it can be misleading to say someone is an amateur.

it was a double jab with 0 power. He was tripped. Convenient you cut the video as you see the ref begin to wave it off as a trip.

Wow. Watching this back now it’s clear that Conor completely changed his style of fighting as far back as a year ago....from his old MMA wide stance flowing karate to strictly flat footed inside boxing, which makes sense because it’s what he’s been doing for 2 years straight. But by abandoning his kick game which provided him distance + room to maneuver, he lost a huge advantage and Dustin capitalized by using kicks to compromise Conor and pressure him to try and land shots. In doing so Conor ended up compromised with his back against the fence. The last place you want to be vs DP. A tough loss and sad day for many....but the best aspect of Conor is his heart. Let’s see how he responds to this one. Good luck out there everyone

Yes i think all that time boxing definitely compromised him in mma ring. Conors strengths fit mma much better than boxing
