The #McIntoshMT10 #Turntable marries classic #McIntosh glass front panel cosmetics with serious mechanics to create a unique, ready-to-play LP solution. With tracking force, anti-skate and cartridge position preset at the factory, the McIntosh MT-10 delivers high performance LP playback with minimal set up.
A custom tonearm features a rigid, dural-aluminum arm-tube gimbaled in two sapphire (horizontal) and two ceramic (vertical) bearings for the least possible friction. A .5mV moving coil cartridge is included, and features an ebony body with an ellipitcal stylus. Massive platter, magnetic air-damped bearing, ready to play, matched tonearm and cartridge.

I got one and am about to unbox it. I wish it came with an acrylic cover like the MT-5 though. Seems like a step down in cover for a whole lot more money. Also, fabric of any type generally doesn't need to be anywhere near a stylus. I've seen lots of Swiffer duster accidents, and broken styli. We'll see, since I haven't seen the cover in person yet. Fat green platters are the best though.

I agree 100%. The cloth cover lends itself to Styli damage. Get an over sized cover made from perspex

This is a very heavy turntable and difficult to lift / move. The carpet is soft, with thick underlay.

We have some fun sharing these great HiFi products, and chuck about the accessories and packaging to highlight that people often take things WAY too seriously in this industry. Nothing gets damaged. We are just trying to be relaxed about these video's. The product is always cared for, the packaging... well not so much.

I was considering getting an MT10, but decided I'd rather have a turntable with a properly thick platter. This just isn't thicc enough for me.

No Need. The platter is govened in speed perfectly. 1595 strobe markings per revolution are used to ensure no manual pitch control is ever required.

Lucky you and don't pay attention to the comments regarding unboxing, it's your money and you are entitled to toss things as you want, on contrary it was funny😊😊😊. Can you please advise what turnable is best under $1000? I've got very old vinyls (opera, classic music, Frank Sinatra and Beatles ) and I always wanted to get something super duper nice. There lots of different sites with different turnables ranking/opinion , it makes me even more confused. Thank you.

Under $1000, look at the ProJect Debut Carbon, Debut Carbon Esp SB, the ProJect Record Master, or the new X1. All superb (debending on the features you might need)

Certainly this is not an entry level turntable, and comes with a pretty big price tag. But for those that can afford it, it is WELL worth it.

why do have to throw things. you keep on crumpling the plastics. if i can see before hand how you unbox the items i wouldnt buy from yoiur store. yoiu're not careful in handling the items.

You need wireless mic , your voice hardly hearing .

We tried - And failed. The mic clipped and the camera condenser clamped everything for half a second after each clip. So we went back to a condenser mic on the camera (but we did get a good one). You will hear more recent video's are better: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g5yWis-c2Leok5s.html

I was wondering if you were gonna toss the cartridge across the room. I hate it when you toss everything to the side. Absolute gorilla when you unbox expensive products that people put time and effort into

Cela aurait pu être amusant, mais au moins deux comportements m'horripilent : - ce n'est pas très bien filmé - je déteste cette façon de "balancer" les cartons, et les mousses de calage 👎 Ce MT 10 mérite mieux, je vais chercher d'autres vidéos d'unboxing
