Brian Lanckiewicz from Columbia War Machine brings you The McMillan TAC-50! The rifle used on the world’s longest confirmed sniper kill! In this video he’s using a 5x25 Schmidt & Bender scope with an Elite Iron direct thread silencer. He’ll be talking about Chris Kyle, The Legend, who’s story is portrayed in The American Sniper, along with his McMillan TAC-338. We finally see the demise of the long eluded Well Fed Bigfoot as well as his last remaining comrade! We shot targets out to almost half mile (steel plates, cinder blocks, ice, and a tree). Putting a silencer on this animal is redundant. Wouldn't that diminish it's accuracy as well? I hate guns but this is a work of art.

Don't know if you made it out to shot show this year but the company I used to work for, Dillon Aero, purchased McMillan Manufacturing, started a sister company called Dillon Rifle Company and basically remade the TAC-50 into what is now the Dillon TAC 501. They were at Shot Show this year and had the weapon on display.

I remember going to a shooting range with my dad as a kid. One of the people there had a tac-50. I recall the "pop pop pop" of the other guns in the range was occasionally separated by a loud "BOOM" made by this rifle. The guy let me keep one of the spent shell casings and it sat on my desk in my room until I moved out later on in life. One really bad ass rifle there.

Hats off, amazing! The explosions were insane, I laughed so much at Well Fed Bigfoot, more like Ewok, I was surprised those rounds didn’t explode the concrete bigfoot, amazing! The head shot was great, total destruction. The distance shot on the plates were great, bet they would still go past that twice as much easily. I love the PM2 12-50x56, awesome optics for distance. I have one on my .338 LM, makes life a lot easier. As always, great vids, the best! The well fed recoil system made me laugh, maybe market that and copyright it 😂 Sure beats a slip on pad, kick stop reducer etc 🤣😂🤣👍🍻

So, I needed to know more about how a Tac-50 works/shoot for a story I'm writing. Personally, I can't shoot a gun and I know very basic things about guns (just in general) so learning more about this rifle was actually really neat. Learning that adding a silencer makes the kick noticeably worse was actually really interesting to me (which I know sounds a bit stupid but, again, I have like no knowledge of anything firearm-related that's not bare-bones basic information). Plus, seeing how far this can shoot in a visible format (instead of just reading about it), again, really helped me envision my scenes better. Definitely will revisit your channel when I, inevitably, need more information on firearms! :)))

The longest sniper kill is 2.5 kilometers.. This is ONLY 800 yards... Also a new record claimed with 2.9 kilometers. Almost 3 kilometers have been on the record

Nice rifle. Your going to need to buy more land so you can expand your range. On my farm I have a 1100 yard range we can shoot year round and a 1.5 mile range when the crops are harvested.

With it normal no silencer , about the same , with the silencer, a lot more lol! But it is ok not that bad I shot over 100 rounds in a day and a half ! HK mp 5 video is Wednesday
