Pho is healthier and way more delicious. Ramen is good but the flavor comes from the fat. Pho is all the time. Ramen is sometimes.

Personally, I prefer Pho because of the meat and the mix of vegetables which give you a great smell of the pho, but I feel like ramen broth and noodles are really really good. I’m probably biased since I’m vietnamese and have eaten home pho all my life. I’d like to try home ramen too see the true differences though.

I don't like how she felt like she had to put down pho, and, essentially the Viet culture and his nostalgic connection, to prove her point on why she thinks ramen is better. Also..... Pho + basic = DOES NOT EXIST. I'd like for her to see a pho broth being prepped, and then simmer for 8-9 hours before she calls it basic again.

I love both pho and ramen, but the girl was a bit too insensitive, and it made me uncomfortable while watching. Honestly that doesn't seem like a good bowl of pho. Pho (like burgers) come at many different quality levels. As a HUGE life lover of ramen, a good bowl of pho will give you a good comfort feeling. Btw this girl doesn't know what she is talking about. I would like to see her try good pho & see what she says.

A Vietnamese living in Tokyo here. Ramen in general is pretty good, especially Tonkotsu. I can eat ramen 3 days per week but for Pho, every single day. This Japanese girl is so annoying and disrespectful. She doesn't even know how to hold her chopsticks properly, lol.

Pho hands down, I'm a massive Japanophile, have lived in Japan for a few years and love ramen, but Pho is life. If I had to choose only one dish I could eat for the rest of my life it would be Pho without a moments hesitation.

Ethereal Phoenix definitely try. I love pho more only because I like to add in my own spice like I love to put extra bean sprouts in mine and I added sriracha and a little bit of fish sauce. With ramen it’s like at most shops I’ve been to they add all the spice to the mix, and I feel like I want to control how much I put in my ramen. But Pho is the way to go I feel. Winter time is the best with Pho.

I like pho because it is very aromatic, light and satisfying to eat, while ramen is heavy and makes me feel heavy as well, I enjoy both a lot but I gotta lean towards pho.

Being born and raised in Hawai’i...where we have really amazing ramen AND pho...I have to say that, if I had to choose between the two, I’m gonna go with pho!!! I love the complexity of pho, with all the different cuts of meat, the various vegetables and herbs, and the lightness of the noodles. Ramen is too simple, too basic...and the noodles are pretty dense and heavy. It could be that I just grew up with ramen so it’s boring to me....I dunno. I did grow up with Pho too since I was always at my friend Alex’s house and his mom made pho all the time. I wonder what other people think about these two delicious noodle dishes! PS - we have late night Ramen and Pho places in Hawai’i...and you can also buy instant Ramen and Pho in Hawai’i, and the instant Pho is considerably healthier than instant ramen. 😁

To be honest.. I feel like the girl came off as close minded. Especially when it came to trying/ experiencing new foods. Instead of being hypocritical, she could of embraced a new culture. They both may be part of the Asian community, but clearly there is division on her side. There should be unity rather than division. But this is just my opinion.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

As someone who didn’t use to eat Pho, you must try a really great one to appreciate its flavour - the freshness of the vegetables and meat makes the soup so much more flavourful while still remaining a light, enjoyable dish. Ramen on the other hand is flavourful but tends to be too oily and heavy. As a working adulting I would definitely go with Pho. Ramen is a good once-in-a-while treat but not sustainable as a daily meal like Pho

Simplicity is the beauty of pho. I love soy ramen too but the complex ones is not something I can eat all the time.

Pho is a much more nuanced flavor, that is also light. It’s the kinda food that is delicious and satisfying but manages to be healthy and energizing by having a hydrating refreshing broth, light on meat, carbs and lots of veggies and greens. It is the most well balanced work of art of a dish you can find

I love pho, not a fan of ramen.. but then again I live in PhX, Az.. I can eat pho all damn day literally.. Iam Mexican but I love me some pho 🤤😌

Well Vietnam is hot, as is Phoenix. No surprise that pho is easier to eat. Meanwhile it's tonkotsu ramen that caught on in the US and that broth is heavier and fattier. No way and I hauling that in my gut when it's 100+ degrees.

I personally prefer good homemade pho because it's complexed yet still light enough to not gross you out. It has good balanced amount of meat, carbs and vegetables. Ramen is delicious but it's pretty heavy and gets little flat or "boring" after half bowl. it's coming from a girl who tried 95% of ramen shops in the big multicultural city and flew all the way to Japan for ramen 😬

Most of the ramen I tatse are usually too salty for my taste while pho usually has the perfect savory flavour. Emphasis on usually. There are places that make the balanced flavour though not a lot, at least where I am.
