Thank you for doing this reaction. I do want to say Meat Loaf, hated when people wrote his name like the food meatloaf as one word, he said it’s two words “Meat Loaf”. I hope you continue to react to this incredible; singer/entertainer/and over all human being. Meat Loaf is an iconic legend that will be remembered forever. I cried for a few days when Meat Loaf passed, as I knew I would. He is one of my most favorites. Most people really do not know of what a kind sweet soul he had, and how he gave everything of himself to his fans. Most of his band members were with him for decades. He had an open heart for all the world to see, and one of the most compassionate, loving, caring, patriotic person with a very strong faith in God. The world suffered a great loss with his passing. For the past 47 years he has been a constant in my life. I’ve had so much respect and admiration for Meat Loaf that transcended into a great love for him. For Crying Out Loud is one of my favorites, and it was one of Meat’s favorites too. Meat said he believed it was the greatest love story ever written. It’s a hard song to sing, and he did not do it live very much. So there’s a live performance of For Crying Out Loud from live 2004; the video says Meat Loaf live with MSO - For Crying Out Loud. This was from the iconic Bat Out of Hell album written by the iconic late Jim Steinman. Way back when Rocky Horror Picture Show was out and Meatloaf had his Bat out of Hell album hitting, I wound up next to him at a concert. At the time not many had caught on to him and we chatted bit. I was doing things with other groups and never caught up to him again. The guy was in movies, had his musical career and even did some opera sitting in with Luciano Pavarotti...

Lorraine Crosby was the female singer. Dana Patrick was the actress in the video. Believe it or not, this is the short version of the song. Her part is slightly larger in the original 12 minute epic. There's more of a buildup of requests before she gets to the holy water hosing.

Meatloaf is a magnificent performer, but the element that makes Meatloaf is the songwriting and musical arrangements by Jim Steinmen. A HUGE part of what makes Meatloaf's music work is Steinman. The freaky bed scene with multiple stunning ladies was from Dracula. Great song, the shortened version doesn't jump around and is more fluid.

Say what you want about Meatloaf but you can’t deny the vocal ability of Meatloaf not to mention how theatrical he is. I’m not real familiar with them but the piano player was like the wizard behind the curtain in The Wizard of OZ! Without him there in no Meatloaf or at least the outstanding quality that was put forth!!
