Us like you, I am sure are curious as to what pack of broadheads you can open and them shoot just like your field points.
#rageinthecage #g5outoors #archeryhunter
Believe it or not, not all mechanicals fly just like field points, regardless what the packages say. Well in this video we grab some of the top mechanical broadheads and see what ones fly the best. We also do a simple bleed out test as well, with some water bottles and red food coloring.

Accuracy is important. But durability has become more important to me as I learn more & more about elk. I've had 2 mechanical broadheads fail when shot in elk. Rib bone completely broke 1 blade off of a rage on entry side, which caused the other blade to barely cut anything as it passed through. only got him because we tracked him to his bed. And got another arrow in him. And my buddy shot another one with a Killzone that only went about 2 inches into rib cage. Elk lived but we learned our lesson. Theres a reason the pros shoot 125 gr solid type broad heads. the penetrate elk better. They will reflect off the heavy bones and penetrate deeper in to actual vital area of the elk. Plus they continue to cut when stuck in elk as the run or try to pull them out. Mechanicals tend to close back up as they move or get pulled out. Mechanicals work great for Deer or Bear.

Why do u point ur bow up like that when u draw back? Is there a reason? I was always told that it's dangerous to do that in case ur release fails or u accidentally fire it off while drawing back. It doesn't look like you're struggling with the draw weight at all like most ppl do when they draw a bow like that so I was wondering if it was some kind of shooting technique or something?

You know I like watching videos like this because they are really helpful on what broadheads fly the best like Field Point accuracy and I am all about Field Point accuracy with a mechanical Broadhead and the ones that shoot the best for me AR The Thorn Broadhead it flies like a field tip I have shot the dead meat it flies like a field tip I'm also shot the Grim Reaper in the Chisel tip it shoots like a field tip and the new Carnage made by innerloc shoots like a field tip and the shapeshifter made by innerloc shoots like a field tip those are the only broadheads that I know of in a mechanical or fixed it actually fly exactly like your field tip I just thought I would give these tips and help somebody out there looking for Field Point accuracy

I have killed everything I hit with them and watched them all fall within my eye sight except for a very few and they didn't make it far at all and with the blood trail that was left it was a easy and quick tracking job . From your video it Seemed like the razor tip GR was dead nuts center, the slick trick and dead meat were on the edge of the bullseye, very close with those 3 but it looked to me like the GR took the accuracy win. Maybe camera angle was a bit deceiving...cool test though, no doubt!!

I've killed 6 deer with the G5 Deadmeat's. They've all flown very accurate for me and work awesome. I've had very good blood trails on every deer taken with them. One blood trail in particular from last year literally looked like a blood bomb went off and sprayed out to the sides about 10 feet out. I mean all over the place. And that was at a run, not spinning in place doing that death stagger. I couldnt believe it. Zero issues with deployment on animals and in the quiver. Now the G5 Havoc, that's a different story. I had issues with a few of them opening up in my quiver and not wanting to stay contained no matter what I did. Some of them did seem to lock up ok though. I only shot 1 deer with them, a buck, at about 30 yards, slightly quartering to me, not severe. I watched him run with what looked like my entire arrow sticking out. I got very lucky and ended up getting just enough penetration to hit his heart. Ran 60 yds maybe and was done. Had a great big cut on impact. I dont have the same time with the Havocs as I do with the Deadmeat's so its not exactly a "fair" comparison maybe. But the containment issues I had with them coupled with that lack of penetration really ruined them for me. I lost all confidence in the Havoc's and gave them away to a buddy. I've wanted to try some Grim Reaper's and that same buddy gave me some new Rage Hypodermic NC heads a couple weeks ago that I may try this fall. But honestly I'm kinda stuck on the Deadmeat's. Hope this helps.

+River Banks couldn’t agree more in fact Ben had muzzy fixed blades flying out to 90 yards perfectly for our elk hunt. But 99% of people have no idea how to tune a bow, most people shoot a few times before bow season and hit the woods. So we made the video for the guy that needs to know what is the most accurate out of the pack.

@@UnGuidedOutdoors you don't shoot repeatedly at an animal. With each shot, one's form is lessening. The test is to see how each head compares to field tip accuracy. For that, a constant is needed, a fixed shot. That way, nothing else is affecting the flight.
