What's amazing to me is the equipment he uses. Not a cnc machine in sight, all by hand. I can't even imagine what he could build if he had cnc machines to use. Awesome work.

Great work a while back you made a horizontally opposed twin engine, but both pistons shared a crank pin and I pointed out that it wasn’t truly a boxer. I had no doubt that you could build a boxer and I’m glad that you decided to do it. Awesome work keep it up.

I repair bikes too but, man, if I had just 20% of the machining/precision skills Dan has, I'd be over the moon!! Good job Dan, I've been watching your channel for a long while and your work just blows my mind 💪🏼💪🏼

I didn't think the 2t boxer could have a shared intake because one side would greedily suck everything first due to any slight port asymmetry. The advantage of the 2t boxer is the perfect balance (the rocking couple is quite marginal) and the split bearing load. So instead of reservicing one big engine frequently, you replace two sets of stuff but not as often, nominally lasting twice as long, more like time and a half irl. It looks great!

I have been following Le Dan for many years now. Was not sure that a 2 Strike Horizontally opposed Twin could run with a common Crank case. I was not sure if the crank case compression would work. It does when the pistons are on the "downward stroke". Also helps with p[ort scavenging. Well it does an smoothly at that. Good one Dan. Next is to see this engine in a bike. Thats a grate idea 💡! Boxer 2-stroke is one of the lowest vibration 2 cylinder engine designs. (Both cylinders fire at the same time, in opposite direction)

Dude, why and how are you not making engines for a major company yet ... You're doing the same work as a whole Development and Engineering team with less then 1/4 of the tooling a team of Engineers and Machinists has at their disposal or the budget, granted this is smaller scale work but clearly you've got the mind and talent for it.

Tapered bearings would have been a better choice for handling the bevel gear axial loads. Ball bearings are not designed for that. Nice job!
