You will rarely see anyone (including construction workers) wear gloves in the Philippines. That may be the reason gloves and deals on gloves are so difficult to find here. We were fortunate to score a closeout deal at a tactical shop on genuine Mechanix brand gloves in small sizes for Beautiful Bride and Beautiful Daughter. Now, if only the old man may be so lucky. This used to be a quality brand when I was still living in the US. I wonder if the product is slipping these days?

I wonder if that's a cultural thing? People not wearing gloves. a lot of products are getting cheaper these days. Just a sign of the times I suppose. They do make some other models of gloves that look like they have a reinforced palm, but the cost is very high. If I can get them on sale maybe will look into them.

@@charlesartificer2158 Man, speaking of "cultural things." it is normal to see construction workers on small projects (like the new home under construction next door to us) wearing flip-flops. Yes, a few wear boots but it is certainly not the norm. Larger projects like shopping malls and the new elevated train track system are where you see jeans and workboots as we are accustomed to. My guess is more safety rules on commercial projects. I have to admire Filipino workers. Most of us would melt under the hot humid conditions these guys endure every day.

@@NewHampshireJack thanks Jack that whole explanation made me laugh. I can just picture these guys working on a construction site wearing flip-flops. A close buddy of mine works as a safety guy for OSHA here. I can just imagine him seeing that and having kittens LOL. But yeah I have no doubt that those guys can handle the heat really well. It's like me up here I handle the cold really well. But then I see people come up here from out of state and they're wearing these thick huge jackets or anything I'm looking at them and I'm like hey it's only 20° out. Meanwhile I'm wearing a hoodie LOL. Funny stuff man funny stuff. Have a great night brother I'm heading off to bed.

So would you recommend harbor freight gloves over these??

Depends on what you're doing. If you need gloves for very fine motor skill being able to feel things through the glove, then the mechanics are probably better for that. However if you're doing more physical labor type stuff where you need more protection for the hand Harbor Freight's probably better. I do have another video I'm working on that's going to concern these gloves don't want to give anything away but it is coming. Thanks for the comment and views.

That is an absolutely terrible fit. You really should have gone with a large. You want gloves to be nice and tight so they don't bunch up or slip. You want that snug fit for dexterity. Of course the synthetic leather is thin. They're tactical gloves. They're made for maximum dexterity for weapons manipulation. You definitely won't get that dexterity with a loose fit like that, though. They are NOT work gloves. They're made for tactical use, and they're disposable. They're cheap. You trash one pair and buy a new one. Who cares if it's made in Vietnam? The vast majority of items in the US are foreign made. We don't have the infrastructure or skilled workers to manufacture most things in country anymore. I'm not trying to be harsh, but this review... Well, it wasn't really informed or fair. You ought to have done more research on the gloves before purchasing them and used them for their intended purpose. Either way, have a good day, and I hope this came across as constructive criticism and not a bash.

@Spuds I asked a question, got an answer. Thats all this review video is about. As for Vietnam. A lot of people I know will not buy anything made in Vietnam. As for intended use. A lot of products have intended uses that were not bushcraft. Yet they are regularly used as such. The one that comes to mind is the Silky Saw Gomboy 240. This hand saw was designed and intended for use as an arborist tool. Yet it is excellent for bushcraft. In fact due to Canadian prepper pointing out to the company how many people buying and using their saws were in fact outdoor enthusiasts they have now come out with a specific line for them. The outback line of saws. As for me being fair, I review gear for outdoor bushcraft use. I weight cost vs functionality. In the end it comes down to my opinion. As for fit it is hard to figure out the best fit over the internet...... Never having a pair of this brand I had to wing it. Listen carefully to the first part of my video, got them off amazon. kinda hard to test fit a pair that way.
