For decorating the house, the first thing you should do is put shutters in the windows. Then the rugs on the floor and once you can, place at least one lantern inside (it looks gorgeous at night from the outside). If you want better production in the henhouse, just sell all the roosters but one. You need hen to produce eggs and one rooster to fertilize them. Having someone at the well at this stage of the game is kind of a waste. Villagers don’t need that much water and you can play that role easily once per season. You need workers that will provide materials.

Also note that for the shutters, you must decorate from outside the house. The same principle is applicable for the door style.

Not sure if you found this out yet or not but, there IS an auto-run feature in the game. If you hold down forward and then tap Shift twice, you'll move at walking speed. If while you're in that mode and you tap Shift again, you'll run. This was a life saver for me in getting around the map.

Thank you for the shoutout! Another tip for gathering up villagers that you want without too much hassle. Stand close enough to them and hold your left ALT button. It will show you their skill spread and what skills they are best/worst at.

Solid advice. Makes it easier to find workers with multiple 3s. (If I saw correct, Edmund, the new workshop dude is actually better at extraction than at crafting.)

After you start making a decent amount of gold, the fancy bits that are sold as gifts make excellent decorations. I especially love the different bottles and games. I placed mine on the floor next to my child's bed. Gives it a cozy feel.

One suggestion for realism sake... maybe don't put the outhouse right next to living space (it would start to smell up the house, if ya know what I mean) usually they are located a little walking distance away! Great content! Love this playthrough!

Hmmm ... normally in life there is just one outhouse and everyone uses it when needed, but in this game, I don't think that works.

Loving the series. For loot you missed: On the attic where you found the potions, there seems to be an axe too. (I think) Naming houses is very helpful. I give them street names (eg Wellstreet 3). Brings the village more alive (and inhabitants can change). Another suggestion: Rotate one of the double gates at the entrance of your village to get the hinges at the side of the road. Regards

Insulating the houses of course uses less firewood demand from your villagers,but also increase moral and production. So much for automation!

Great/entertaining video! Quick tip when recruiting new villages, you can check to see their skill levels to see if they are the best choice for your village ! Example, you recruited Edmund to craft bowels and buckets but he is only a level 2 craftsman when there could have been a level 3 choice (male or female) use alt too see the skill level floating above the people :)

Looking at the skills first before inviting a NPC is wise, but a point comes when you take what is left. Not sure your village is at that point yet, or not, but I have had to travel to another town to find another male to recruit. Followed him all the way back just in case he got attacked, but nothing happened since I was determined to keep the female NPCs happy with a man in the house. They kept saying; "I don't want to be lonely anymore!" It was getting on my nerves and sure enough, the next year three babies were born.

Happy new year! Bear in mind that your villagers will be happier if you assign them a task they actually like. Your new crafter would prefer mining, digging clay etc so maybe think about swapping him over at a later date! 😊

You can also put the remainder of the animal feed in the bag in each pen and it will auto refill.

Yes, that seems to be what the bags are for, but if you let them stay empty too long, you are likely to find one of the keepers of critters is putting manure in them. I currently have two pig pens with piglets coming every spring, so have a bit too much manure to process in the barns, but I may be able to adjust that a bit. Fertilizer is something I take into town to sell when the resource storage and compost bins get a bit too full.

Also when building not sure if everyone knows but if there are rocks messing up your house placement and your farming go threw it with the rode layer then destroy it. The rocks will disappear I have so much more room

Great video as always. I am very happy I found this channel it’s very entertaining. I found that the villagers work slowly in the sewing hut , so I make the clothes and stuff my self and sell them on .good to see rob and peg are a live and doing well

I have all but one house fully occupied and had to put up extra workspots to try and balance out the production goals, but still find it necessary to pitchin to get stuff done. If I don't, some things get over produced and others under produced, which changes with the seasons. Still looking to find a balance so my avatar can just manage production and tickle the babies.

the fish locations on the map matter, you will get ridiculous amounts of that particular fish if you build a fishing hut on a spawn and set it to catch that particular fish type.

I have two fishing huts up and kept them near the bridge, one on each side and the ladies don't go far from the bridges to fish with their heads ver low in the water. How they manage to breath is a mystery. I had to keep adjusting how much dried fish meat they made downward in an attempt to not get too far ahead of demand. I still have to take roasted fish meat into the city to sell it once it is getting near 76% spoiled. Cooking it brings it back up to 100% when roasted and brings a good price, which is even better with bartering skill up a bit.

Hi Kysen! You can use inspector mode to see the villagers’ skills without talking to them. In case you don’t know… it’s very helpful. You can also gather sticks, stones and other resources form your mount, as well as talk to people! Thanks for the great content and tips!

The well is one work station i tend to leave empty. It gives crappy exp and i can easily manage the water on my own once a season or less even with a village of >50 plus kids. I would have the guy gather other materials i could turn to profit. And those kids! The places they roam is crazy sometimes from playing in the pig pen, a stone's throw from bandits or wandering into a cave like Rudolph... i do have the urge to fence them in some days!!!

Hey, wait a minute! You must have moved your village, or have two since I don't see a waterfall anywhere near where I am. Looks like you didn't know back then you are suppose to dig up the tree stumps and get points for doing so. Even Steam tracks how many you dig up and has a reward for various goals.

You can put a saddlebag on your donkey for more carry weight on their inventory. I made my money by headshot Moose/bison and cook the meat then sell the meat. Vendors im pretty sure restock every season just like animal spots replenish every season. Loving the series, keep it up 😊

Not every season. I was buying (in very early gameplay) all the Pike and Perch the merchant had, going to the Sick House to roast it and selling it back for coin. He doesn't restock until spring. Now that I have tons more to carry into the capital to sell, I still roast up fish meat as already stated, along with all sorts of other stuff to try and keep the resource and food storage huts from getting too full. Just bought two young donkeys to raise to help carry more stuff in the years ahead and starting to construct vendor stalls.

You might want to check the map to see which fish are spawning where. I noticed a fish spawn near your house, but not sure what type of fish it was.

i really wish they would bring in free building system where stairs, ladders, pillars and roofs and all that stuffs like in Fortnite Lego... or minecraft. that would be amazing while maintain the blueprint of already built houses and buildings and stuffs.

I do believe the indicator means you have either no worker OR no animal... or both. I don't think it means both specifically.

Hmmm .... I am getting the impression you are playing this game on a console? The comments don't seem to be for the other minor elohim (Devs being one step above) using a computer. Now that is interesting! You have started building in the same place I did. I should check and see your other videos to see what else is the same. In a side note, since I am not sure if anyone else has mentioned this or not, go small houses for as long as possible to save on taxes. I started my current game with a tax rate of 10% and made other adjustments to keep the game as easy as practical without getting crazy and killing the spirit of the programming effort.

Press N > Click The Building Icon > Open the Animal Husbandry section > DC the new hut (e.g. Hen House) - Now where ity says Animals you will see "Empty Slot (Assign Animal)" If you DC one of the empty slots it will bring up all your animals and you can choose which ones you want to transfer :)
