This 10-minute gem from a concert in Melbourne not only shows the lads' extraordinary vocals and musicality, but also their wonderful humor and personalities. And ... AND it's got a version of Too Much Heaven in their regular voices instead of falsetto. I'm thinking I might actually like it better. Just wow!

I agree the twins did get better looking with age. Maurice especially developed a fashion style that was so dapper. He was also very funny as was Robin. Check out their videos when they were performing as youngsters at ages 9 and 12. They were adorable and definitely previews of coming attractions.

Some of the musical highlights of my life involve the Bee Gees, who I have loved since 1973. I saw this same concert in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1989 and then saw them in their One Night Only concert in Sydney in 1999. The day before the second concert I got to speak briefly to Robin when my husband and I saw him at Manly Beach in Sydney. Maurice was always my favourite, but Robin came a close second after meeting him and seeing that gorgeous smile, just for me 💜

@@debbienewton909 - Mo was also the master musician. Barry played some guitar. Rob composed on piano or organ. Mo could play everything. He was their musical arranger who always found the right chords. He directed their band on stage. He was a terrific singer! He had personality. I've been a fan since 1967. I gravitated to Rob mainly because he was so eccentric. IMO the twins were both full of charm and charisma and both extremely intelligent, each in their own way. Proof of Mo's importance came when he died. So did the Bee Gees! That speaks volumes. All the best to you.

daX - Didn't mean to mislead you but I did know they did a bit of "Too much Heaven" in their natural voices here. I adore this concert. It is one of the best, all in good voice (as if we could doubt it) and enjoying each others' company. I do prefer this version of "Heaven". Nice to hear Mo do Dolly's part in "Islands in the Stream" but when all three join in...MAGIC! I love @10:11 when they sing "We rely on each other", Barry and Robin look at each other and smile. Thanks for the reaction.

Andy was supposed to join them for this tour. Interviews all involved questions about his death the year before. They handled it unbelievably well - seemed to understand that we were all grieving with them. The 1989 concert was absolute perfection - yes, including Maurice and Robin’s appearance:) All 3 were definitely in their prime with nothing lacking due to age. All concerts after Andy’s death included a song dedicated to him, sometimes with photos on the big screen. For this one they dedicated WISH YOU WERE HERE, and then never sang it live again because it was too difficult. It was the first song they wrote after losing him. It was cut from the concert dvd, and the footage will likely not be released until Barry’s gone, if then. The concert is soooooo good that it’s hard to conceive that Andy’s death was so recent. True professionals, highly respected for so many reasons!! Please react to their Vegas song dedicated to Andy DON’T THROW IT ALL AWAY.

This was an excellent concert, and I really think they were in their prime here. Robin sang a version of "I Started a Joke" that was probably one of his best performances of it and the audience rewarded him with a standing ovation that went on for about a minute and only ended when the next song started. Robin was visibly moved by the ovation and apparently forgot the next song was "Massachusetts", having hung up his earphone, then having to rush and grab it again when the intro started.

@@daxmusix - The version of "Joke" from that concert was the best he ever did IMO. Just visited his grave and home in Thame in October. My fave Bee Gee for his voice, philanthropy and wit (not to exclude his brothers!) His grave ten years after his death is absolutely covered in tributes. Locals say people from around the world still visit all the time. Another time Robin was very moved was when the audience (I think in Denmark) sang his solo song "Juliet" back to him. If you are so inclined, "Juliet" in Berlin 1991 is excellent!

@@daxmusix - Robin and his sister Lesley looked very alike, especially when they were older. There were also times when I saw a bit of Robin in Andy. Regardless, the twins definitely had a psychic connection. Mo was miles away when Robin was involved in the Hither Green train wreck and said "Something has happened to Robin". Often they would get pains in the same places. Half of Robin died with his twin.
