Your video was near to perfect but it would have been better to explain pathogenesis of the disease before the symptoms, as it helps one to remember symptoms more easily.

Lecture was nice... But have 3 questions . At 8:06 u said since macrophages and monocytes are unable to help viral replication that will increase viral load ??? And in *Ab dependent enhancement* how ag ab complex will form becoz u said macrophages and monocytes are unable to neutralize virus since serotype is different . And explanation behind answers u choose in 1st MCQ Thank u
@medtoday
@medtoday 2 жыл бұрын
At 8:06, I say these cells are unable to "halt" the viral replication, not "help". (Because these cells are also infected with the virus). During a secondary infection with another serotype, memory B cells produce new antibodies against the virus. However, as the serotype is different now, the antibodies cannot neutralize the virus (because memory B cells produce antibodies specific to the previous serotype). When the antibodies bind to antigens, they cannot neutralize the virus, instead, these complexes will deposit in the vasculature. This is the reason for marked vascular events in dengue. Hope you got it.
