the difference in handwriting and accent is really interesting from what I've learnt till now is that they are localized in specific parts of the brain but yhe neuronal connections in DID might be compromised so as to fit each of the personalities/alters. But vocabulary seems to be intact and simillar in them. I wonder if learned behaviours such as riding a bicycle would be intact in alters (but now if that is intact, the handwriting should be similar too...) I would like to see some studies and will ask my lecturers if I find any useful info I'll post here
@MultiplicityAndMe7 жыл бұрын
Sounds interesting :) please do

Well, even in singular people without DID, our handwriting can change based on just mood changes, so I don't see it as a stretch to completely change handwriting based on a switch of personalities.

I've had the biggest troubles grasping the concept of DID. I just could not wrap my head around how a system would work. However!! Watching all of you has given me this insight into a system in a way I never had, it's helping me understand what DID is about. Basically, I just wanted to thank you for this. Thank you so much for helping me understand, all of you! Furthermore, I would like to express my respect for the fact that you are so open about it all, about the alters, the inner world and everything related to DID

Also the relationships between your alters are so healthy that I really enjoy them talking about each other and hear them talk about their families in the "inner world". It would be very fascinating if there's a visual representation based on your inner world. It would be awesome to see a glimpse of it as your alters seem to live a pretty good and interesting life! Am I the Only One Who Wonders How The Cat Feels When Jess Switches Personalities?(please tell me I spelled that last part correct I'm terrible at spelling.)
@land0fbizarre6 жыл бұрын
xXAnimeHunterXx animals are usually aware something is different. My cats are usually curious when an alter switches out. They will investigate like they're meeting a new person. With the younger alters they are more comforting, cuddling, nuzzling, etc. With the protector and teenage alter, they are more aloof. Still curious but wary.

Hi Jamie! Hi Jess! (and hi Ed, Jake and Ollie!) I'm so glad you posted a new video :) I only discovered your channel recently and was absolutely fascinated and just loved all your videos. All of you make me laugh, and smile, and I feel really privileged to be able to "meet" all of you in some way via your channel. Jess, you're an inspiration in a world where people can be absolutely the worst about difference, letting people know who you are and where you come from - thank you so much. And Jamie, dittosame to you, and all the alters. I don't want to sound like I'm lumping you together like you're not all different personalities with different skills and goals, because that would be patently wrong, but perhaps saying your entire system is truly inspiring and such a wonder to behold would be the most accurate statement I could make. Gah, I'm rambling. But really, thanks so much for sharing some more of yourself with us, Jamie. It was extremely interesting and entertaining to hear about your medical endeavours, your family, how you manage things in the outside world and just seeing and hearing you (you have such a lovely energy!) I really thought seeing the difference between Jess's handwriting and your own was super interesting - yours looks more male/unconscious (wrong word?) while Jess's looks rather female/conscious. The reason I use those descriptors is that your writing resembles mine when I was a child and not conscious of the shape of my letters in comparison to anyone else's (very care free) and Jess's looks like my writing after I modelled it on a babysitter I had growing up, who I really admired, seemed very smart and had lovely, round letters that looked super girly (whereas I'd decided my writing looked a bit 'spidery' by 9 or 10... I actually wish I still wrote that way a bit, it's my natural hand!) Okay, I'll end this long ass comment now. Thanks again, and please post more videos whenever you have the time and motivation, they are really wonderful and it's so, so nice to be included in your life with Iris and Gary (who remains totally awesome, hurrah! I love Gaz's jokes and that soup thing at the end had me in stitches, it was amazing, where is that from???)

Elisha Miyahira I'm more curious how they deal with memory. If Jess is studying psychology and Jamie accidently comes out, is notes enough? what if there was something Jess wanted to clarify and then Jamie comes out and the opportunity passes. How well is their communication level that Jamie could explain to Jess a concept he might have learned during his time out. And Jamie mentioned he liked the stimulus of education, does he check out Jess's notes when he's out? Or is her knowing enough to satisfy him?
@lanajames30817 жыл бұрын

I find this sooooo interesting! I love learning more about these kinds of things, mental health and all. And how you all have explained things has really helped me understand the more personal aspect. I semi understood the "medical" parts (the why this happens of it all) but I always wondered about the day to day stuff. There was a time that a doctor tried to diagnose me because as a child I described something similar to an inner world but it was just an imaginary home where my unborn twin had lived and my parents and step parents actually got along. Thank you for sharing.
