Meet the Chemical Spur Switcher crossing at Thorold Townline Road in Niagara Region

Ай бұрынHey guys just one of those days we were cruising around the Niagara Region looking for some railroad action.
We happened to be traveling north on the Thorold Townline Road and spotted a switcher coming down the the CN Chemical Spur.
We spun the car around to see if maybe the switcher would come out and activate the railroad crossing there.
From looking at Google Maps it appears that the CN Chemical Spur seems to have tracks servicing at least 2 or 3 industries in the area.
The one with the chemical storage tanks in the background is the Oxy Vinyls Canada Plant and is also the closest to this railroad crossing.
While we're not exactly sure how this operation works here. We have notice some industrial plants may have a private switcher to do all the switching around the plant areas.
At least one major railroad operator to provide cars and transportation between distanation on the mainline.
It would be neat if we could be here when CN comes does a cars pick up at this the chemical complex.

The LDSX 6089 is a SW900 GMD Built sometime in 1964

I hear ya. This one I think I was in NiagaraFalls earlier. Then I was off to the HOPA in Thorold. I happened catch switcher at this place. Lucky for sure!!

Thanks. I'm going probably have to reupload the video sometime tomorrow. I'm not sure what happen to the audio, but it definitely missing some talking in there.

I've check this video on the computer to make sure I've uploaded the right version and for whatever reason their is some kind of glitch on the KZfaq TV phone app version. I've check this same video on both my TV and desktop computer and it seems to be working fine. So I'm not sure what the problem is. As far as I can tell it seems to be a problem with the KZfaq phone app. So until I can determine what causing the issue. I'll probably will not reupload this video and hope the audio corrects itself in the KZfaq phone app version. I apologize for the inconvenience.
