I remember as a kid i was in Turkey fishing with my dad from a pedalo using just a h block spool and left over bread from the hotel breakfast buffet and we seen a stingray swim under the pedalo and thought we was gunna hook it and get pulled out to sea 😂. I was only about 8 so as you can imagine the stingray was the size of a aircraft carrier 😂. Love the videos btw 👍

I remember one scary incident when I was around 14-years of age when my Dad and I were fishing from an 8' dinghy on Loch Eil (Fort William) in Scotland. We were right in the middle of the loch when the sky suddenly went black, the wind really picked up so that the boat was bobbing around so much it felt like we were about to capsize and to cap it all we could hear thunder coming our way! My Dad said we'd better call it quits and go back to shore, but the engine (a little Jap Seabee - 4hp?) wouldn't start. My Dad started frantically rowing back in and we eventually made it. I'd never ever seen him worried about anything before - he didn't scare easily, but this definitely scared the sh*t out of him! I tried to convince him that we needed to get a bigger boat and engine, so he and my uncle ended up buying a 17' Loftus Bennett with a 40hp engine. We had some really great fishing trips off this much bigger boat and despite our scary experience, our love of boat fishing remained!
