Ironically Carter is still alive so we will need a genetically modified McCain for a contest in 2020

Um, Carter will be 99 years old on Sunday, October 1st, 2023! So we'd have to Genetically Modify Carter too!

He was asked if he's goin' to run in '08 and he denied it. That became a reality! HAHAHA!

I remember watching this when it aired and fell in love with Darrell Hammond. I didn't even know who he was imitating and hated politics but it was still hilarious. That's good comedy!

He appeared on this show often, usually after losing elections. McCain had a very good sense of humor especially when it came to making fun of himself. I'd say a lot of the old school republicans did since the same can be said about Bob Dole, HW Bush and Reagan. Its sad that we have to look at the idea of politicians that didn't take themselves too seriously as a "once upon a time it really existed" situation.

Thanks for running this old show last night, SNL/NBC. It was quite fitting on this day where we watched his commemoration ceremony at the National Cathedral in the early AM. RIP, Senator McCain. You were one of the good ones.

I don't know who Tim Russert is, but now I really want to punch him. Ah, McCain. Your death has revitalized this country as we remember what a TRUE Patriot who honestly loves America looks like. One who does not back down to evil, one who stands up for what our country stands FOR. Democracy, not Despots. Courage, not Cowardice, remembering what it feels like to be proud to be an American. You caused a BIG ripple and changes will be coming soon. Did you know, as you were dying, just how much you would be serving your country one last time? I hope so. I think so.
