*That's real cool that Dolly had enough vision to incorporate "real" steamers at her park, instead of some dumb crap with a propane or motor cycle engine in it, etc. Reminds me of the old steam locos at Knott's Berry Farm out here in California. The rumble from the boilers is quite unique. The Disneyland steamers are more "toy like" and run on Diesel oil...*

Do you want to drive historical locomotives or do you want to work on a big company railroad or maybe a small branch line.

Three days to start up that thing DANG so that means in order for them to take passengers when the park opens after some time of being closed the employees have to go into work several days ahead of opening day just to prepare the locomotives.

Yes but when running a railroad there are always other thing that need repair or adjustments and lubrication. You can do those while the boiler is heating up. You want to heat it slowly because it’s better for it and it will need less repairs if you don’t hurry it.

3 days is a bit of stretch. The local organization I was with an a couple other I know we do it slowly to not stress anything at about a day. During the steam era you could do it in 6 hours

Getting rid of these would not help anything and they hardly produce any pollution. And using energy would be worse as oil, coal, and gas are burned to create the electricity that powers electric vehicles and crap.

lol bro the EPA actually tested these exact locomotives and the pollution levels they measured were so low it did not even register. Oh and if you think the environmental impact from these steam locomotives are bad, just wait until you see the mining process for the materials used to build electric car batteries.

if you think steam locomotives are bad, compare them to diesels. SO much worse. Also, Mackwell Locomotive Works in New Zealand builds zero emissions steam locomotives.
