Dude, well done! This is a legit challenge, especially not using any glitches or exploits. Any time I attempt elec man buster only, I always use the exploit that catches him in a loop. Awesome run to kick off the new year with. Definitely a tough one too. I've always believed there to be a ton of value in doing Buster only runs for all of the Mega Man games. You get to see just how meticulously designed these games are when you restrict yourself to the bare minimum. It's most notably apparent with the Robot Master levels since any one of them could potentially be a player's starting level. Though in the case of Mega Man 1, I think it's clear to see that it's generally less friendly to the concept of Buster only than the games that followed. Being the first game in the series, I imagine that the developers really wanted you to engage with all of the various weapon types and thus the overall design of the game would lean quite heavily on their usage. While relying on the Buster exclusively, you quickly run into several situations where the odds seem hilariously stacked against you; Elec Man is the prime example of this. Things like the random moving platforms of Ice Man's stage/Wily 1, the tankiness of certain enemy types and the placement of said enemy types in unreasonably confined spaces or just plain unfavorable terrain all together make for a pretty unforgiving run when you aren't using the weapons that are meant to circumvent these situations. Still, I feel this is an extremely rewarding way to play the game. It's fun, interesting and undoubtedly satisfying. I enjoyed your commentary a lot on this one. I would love seeing you take this challenge to the other Mega Man games too!

Gotta catch the rest another time but as always, a great watch so far! Mega man was definitely one of my favorite series and was introduced to the series on 3 and was hooked. I'm definitely nowhere near as good in my older age but makes me want to play again. Maybe I'll pick up X when I finish a few mods I have to knock out
