Megyn Kelly blasts Scotland’s ‘dopey’ First Minister over new hate crime laws

The Megyn Kelly Show host Megyn Kelly has criticised the Scottish government over its new hate crime laws.
The Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act, which came into force on Monday has received backlash over whether or not it goes against freedom of speech.
“They’ve changed the hate laws in Scotland now to say … if you say something that’s offensive or insulting about a transgender person among others you could go to jail for seven years if it is considered stirring up hate,” Ms Kelly told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“It will be up to some woke Scottish policeman to decide whether you remain a free person.
“How did the Scots vote for this?
“That dopey minister said it was unanimous which it wasn’t, but the point is they have bigger fish to fry.
“They have a lot bigger problems over there in Scotland to worry about than this.”

@@swesleyc7in the U.K. including the devolved countries, we elect the person who will represent our area. Each of those elected members of Parliament are usually members of a specific political party, if they aren't they stand as independents. The party that has the most MPs elected becomes the ruling party, wherever you are in the U.K. Yousaf is elected by his constituency (area where he stood for election) and therefore is elected. The party with the most MPs is the ruling party and they choose their leader. What we do not have, nor do we have the money for such is the political circus that occurs in the U.S. every 4 years, almost as soon as the President is inaugurated, when they start looking for the next President. We don't have states, so we only have 2 tiers of Government, Local and Federal and they are quite enough.

I noted that hate only applies to named groups of people. People like me: white woman, mother of four (same father: to whom I'm still married) Christian and Conservative are not protected. So we can be vilified and bullied but left unprotected. I totally oppose laws against speech but if they are to exist, then surely they should apply to all not just a chosen few. Poor Scotland.

Most Scots don’t watch Parliamentary Questions or pay attention to what the SNP are doing most the time. I’ve been reading that a lot of people had no idea that this bill was passed. I had no idea that the Labour Party in Scotland was headed by a non white. People need to pay attention. This is why this has happened. The Labour and the Greens voted for this vote. Woman were not mentioned, so that tells you it’s not about more hate in Scotland, it’s about the ideology of the first minister who is non white.

Of course they brought in this law; Scotland's First Minister is a Muslim and this prevents anyone from criticizing his religion. It is kind of surprising to see the SNP do this though as its supporters hate the English and Conservatives and have no problem spouting off about either of them. This coming Sunday Glasgow Rangers ( usually Protestant) and Glasgow Celtic (usually Catholic) play one another in football. As one ex player and football pundit has said 49,000 plus fans will be breaking that new hate law……. And I really hope they genuinely do their best and make it a truly memorable insulting day.

We are being attacked using psycoligical warfare, they are creating the problems, then trying to stop us reacting in the normal way.which is only gonna create tension and anxiety. Scariest thing is for parents, if you have one of those children that want to play the pronoun game and try to force you into calling them whatever, all those parents have to forcibly do whatever their twisted little minds say because they can report them to the police, you can go to jail for refusing to call your son a Muslim woman for example, even if you do call them this to their face they can record you having a private word to each other about how much it drives you up the wall to call your daughter a flying male horse that likes rubbish tips and it will be illegal to try and talk they/them out of joining an evil cult due to religious persecution, because if you try and talk them out of it and say anything bad about said cult the will say it’s religious hate speech and 7 years for you, I know these are stupid examples but the law has f*cked you as a parent in Scotland, nowhere is safe, you can’t have a private thought or a joke ever again if you don’t fight it. What’s scarier is this is just scratching the surface on what power this law holds over you.
