Brother, this hadith is da'if. However, there is an actual authentic hadith which can be attributed to the Ottomans. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "the city of Heraclius (i.e. Constantinople) will be conquered before the city of Rome".

@@IDKSS No. One of the transmitters, Abdullah (or Ubaidullah) bin Bishar al-Khathami (or al-Ghanawi) is majhūl (completely unknown). We do not accept from those who we cannot vouch for. There is a science to the preservation of Isnād.

@@IDKSS That is not how we determine the authenticity of Hadiths. There is a science to this. Usul al-Hadith. Mehmed Fatih was a genius, and he did fulfill a prophecy (as I mentioned above, the Muslims conquering Constantinople before Rome). But that is not a proof for a hadith which has been classified as inauthentic on account of its weak isnād.

unfortunetly, there are sayings that his son Beyazid poisened him. Bayezid hated his father because he wasn't as religious as himself, and was in love with western art mainly Roman Empire. He loved Roman Empire so much that he named his empire Muslim Roman Empire. Beyazid did not like this at all, and now you know what happened.

As a Turk, I'm such a love Mehmed the Conqueror. He was the most talented and knowledgeable sultan in the Ottoman Empire. He could also speak 6 languages (Turkish, Persian, Greek, Latin, Arabic and Serbian). He did everything with intelligence and mental ability. A sultan famous for his technology, science, astronomy and war tactics, a sultan like him has never come to the Ottoman Empire again.

He was an awesome statesman, a mastermind (i really don't know how to praise this man cuz my words cannot be enough), he invested so much to repair Constantinopolis. He was definetely the great Turk !

When sultan Mehmet entered tragovisky in Romania, he found out that whole city was killed, butchered, and hamged by Dracula. And that time he retreated from that city because he knew that one that can kill his own people to frighten sultan mahmet would no longer be able to rule with peace. Same happened as expected as he was killed by his own people after few years.

They knew very well each other and they were friends in their youth ( or more, knowing Mehmet attraction for both sexes). The sultan was very upset by the " betrayal" of "his brother" Vlad as he himself had taken the lead of a huge professional army ( 3-4 times more than what Vlad was able to gather , peasants included). The plan was to go to Transylvania next but the losses were quite great and food was lacking. Mehmet was intelligent and sent word to the Romanian nobility that he blamed only Vlad... that payed off later. They had the same teacher( that Vlad killed later ) and I believe they were very similar in thinking , great merciless rulers. But one had an empire and the other only a small county.

There are some mistake about history but doesn't matter fatih Sultan Mehmet (Mehmet the conqueror) still my favorite sultan's and the greatest sultan in the Ottoman history. He was a great Marshall and wise leader and he made a craziest siege plan. Seems like a cool series. I watched the Magnificent Century series during Covid and while it's quite the 'soap opera', I was extremely impressed with the cast. Lots of very good actors, I had never seen in anything before. Might check this out as well, it's a fascinating part of history, we pretty much just skimmed over back in school. Isn't it wild to think about, how different the world was politically before WW1?

Salam I’m not turk but as a muslim I’m so proud 🥹 and it saddens me why we are not taught at school about these wonderful and great heroes who solely and main purpose is to pleased Allah and his messenger and protected the muslim world from the infidels that wanted to destroy it…. I love these special human beings for who they are for the sake of Allah…. I don’t know but I would like to say the enemies are at it again trying to soil and tarnish the image and reputation of Mahmet and then hide it behind fiction and game. The more they do the more famous and popular he becomes.. i was shocked by the turn of events myself. In a nutshell May Allah be pleased with them all and the martyrs.
