I’m guessing that it is about ppmd’s DI, as he was likely DI-ing up-right, so he probably would have lived with up-left DI.

I mean yeah, everyone who's played melee for a while knows that reverse hits are a common occurrence. But it just always looks weird and unintentional, hence it's inclusion in this video.

I think the actual reason is that Fox and Falco's fsmashes have a second hitbox that sends up thats usually stops the reverse hit from happening, and so on that move it almost never happens

In Melee, you do not autosnap to ledge when approaching from beneath. However, on Battlefield, there is a very tiny spot where it turns from a wall to a ceiling that lets you autosnap to the ledge if you hit it. (post credit to an anonymous reddit user)

The glitch performed is the Freeze Glitch. It involves Nana grabbing someone and doing a side special with Popo. This will proceed to freeze the character in place indefinitely, allowing the Icies to wail on the character freely, up to 999 if they wish. The only thing that can let the character move again is a throw. The rule is that this bug is banned, because if it wasn't, Icies would literally have an even stronger version of wobbling, that they could also use after they took a single stock to just time the game out and win.

It has something to do with Whispy, the tree. When you input an action on the frame it blinks (or something like that) your move is basically null

Wavedashing in Ultimate causes you to stale your dodges and rolls too

@@GingerbreadSoulless The staling isn't that bad but wavedashing is actually laggier than rolling now. I wish wavedashing would get buffed a bit because I think it would make things a lot more interesting.

@@bobbing3778 Pretty sure Wavedashing is never getting buffed. Constant wavedashing fucked up Sakurai's wrists back in the day and has put more than a couple of promising Melee professionals out of the game with permanent wrist damage that will follow them for the rest of their lives. It's called Melee-itis I believe. Sakurai doesn't seem to want to risk injurying several of his fans and Nintendo and his team seem to be on the same track. Wavedashing, as it was in Melee, will probably never return and without those specific levels of abusability, it's just not worth it. It's like the NFL with concussions (except Smash ACTUALLY did something about it instead of pretending it doesn't exist and putting forth a multi-billion dollar campaign to cover up the results).

Patches out what makes Melee amazing in the boomer's viewpoint. Hitstun and vulernable in the air for a solid 6 seconds which is what grants the illusion of "combos"
