Ar Tonelico is one of those game franchises, that is soo under the radar, even for other jrpg fans, that the more exposure to it is only a good thing. It's an incredible series. Ar Tonelico 2 especially, like you said the Vanguard battle system, is sooo over the top adrenaline fuelled greatness, the story is soo unique compared to other jrpgs, and my god the music. The game legit had me in tears, several times, throughout the game because of either the story, events, music, or all of them combined. You get sooo invested in the characters, that this is one of those jrpgs that's very hard to say goodbye to at the end. As for the fanservice, its more tame that people think, more comical than anything, and happens only every now and then. To anyone who watched the video or read this, please do yourself a favour and play these games! To this day I wish it had an Anime series based on the games story. Great work on the video Mecha, good to see your still spreading the word on Ar Tonelico!

If you like this combat, you may like Mana Khemia 1 and 2, and Atelier Iris 1,2 and 3. They have alchemy, but the style of the game is nearly the same
