Why did they think it was a good idea to let each contestant read their feedback IMMEDIATELY after receiving it, and not at the end of the week??? It meant every single time, everyone hated each other and just wouldn't pay full price because Bob from Birmingham said there was a hair underneath their toilet seat, or because Sandra ordered runny eggs and got well-cooked ones

33:43 actually that sandwich cake sounds good. Like I think it’s the fact that it looks like a cake that’s throwing it off because as a regular sandwich it would probably taste good. Also there are plenty of avocado based sweets. I remember a few years ago during the boba tea boom, one of my favs was an avocado smoothie with boba.

we have smörgåstårta in sweden which does translate to sandwich cake, she used the right ingredients (kinda) but didn’t make it correctly. usually it’s layers of bread with a filling that’s usually like crème fraiche and it’s then topped with cucumber, prawns, eggs, mayonnaise, tomato and sometimes salmon. usually also has dill and lemon wedges on it. it’s actually really tasty, hers just didn’t look good at all

Eh? Literally no-one in Europe does this. If europeans claimed the nationalities of their great great great grandparents, we'd all spend ten minutes introducing ourselves as being 'part French/Swedish/Algerian/Russian/Spanish/Indian'. We will just tell you where we were born or brought up, we might maybe mention where our parents are from.... maybe... if it's particularly interesting or has had a giant impact on who we feel we are. There's literally the same amount of Italians living in London as there are Italians living in the whole of the USA right now... so perhaps meeting someone actually born in Italy might seem far-fetched to an American. 1000% Salvo grew up in Sicilily.
