I would give anything to go back to Bermondsey and Walworth between the 60s and 80s. Just to see family and friends smile one last time. They are all gone now.

Thank you. From 1954 until 1970 I lived, played, walked, had a few beers, shopped, laughed and cried in many of the places in this clip. Very very happy times.

My entire family were born and bred in this area. Great to see lots of places I recognise as a kid from the 50’s onward. Thanks for posting.

Indeed. Grandparents moved out to 3 counties after securing jobs and ability to buy their own home and so settled there to have their children. I've managed to make it back to London but whether my children end up staying remains to be seen.@@johnlong8082

@@johnlong8082 I moved 11 miles to this house in 1983 and, sadly, some of the people who made the move have moved on again, further out..

All looked so much cleaner back in the day. A shame to see what it's become.

Thank you, so many wonderful memories in those streets. I lived just off Tustin Street till I was eight, but still can remember the friendly community I was born in to. Next door neighbours were Auntie and Uncle and friends to this day. I am the last of my birth family so it is so lovely to see the old places with such great memories, and also to read all the comments on a part of London that we all remember so fondly,
