I honestly feel like I heard alot of things said in this video be said about Men Of War Assault Squad 2, which doesn't say much, for me the biggest flaw is the game feeling more arcade than it used to feel...Gates Of Hell currently is more closer to the classic feeling than MoW2, MoW2 also has terrible voice acting, not realistic visuals as every German soldier looks like a luftwaffe ground crew in blue, and the come back of disliked health bars on tanks

I really don't understand why some people talk about Tank HP bars when we litterally have so many different damage models that you can hit on the tank resulting in different outcomes. Apparently you can kill certain crew members, like the driver or the tank tracks which would disable you from moving. Or hit the gunner to disable the tank. That sounds more like taking the crew out to destroy the tank rather than entirely HP based. Atleast, thats what I've heard in this video and seen in others. I don't understand, can you elaborate more on the Tank hp bars thing you mentioned?

@StarWarsExpert_ I don't get the complaint either. Like, it's a freaking RTS game. Almost all of them have HP bars or the equivalent. Even older MoW gave tanks HP, just the bar was invisible. I think the problem is people went in with a mix of nostalgia goggles and GoH hard ons causing them to pre-concieve what the game would be.

The funny think is that , CoH3 and Homeworld 3 were sold as a AAA game for full price , with so many bugs , and less content.Men of war 2 is cheaper , and has more content , and less bugs , and it feels like a full product.

No... at least not that I am aware of it (but I doubt that I missed it) it's pretty much all real time (since it is multiplayer focused)

I'm confused, some reviews and comments say here that tanks have health bars in this game, but in your video and in others I've seen parts and members of the crew getting shot, which causes a certain reaction, like killing the driver causes the tank to not drive anymore, which to me is not entirely a HP system. Reminds me more of War Thunders system where you have to get rid of every crew member or blow up the ammo, which then can causet he crew to get blown up. Can you Elaborate and give some input?

Tanks do not have HP, they have ammo and fuel bars. And yes, here crew members can be damaged and ALSO certain parts of the tank can be damaged

@@Nyxson They have hp bars you liar!! The developers said so themselves in their dairy. At 2:16 there dam hp bards one tank full another not... Have you even played a game to be so confident. There are realistic mode but can't say more about that. Verify information before saying anything!

My friend you are talking very much about relaism in this video and its complexity, this makes me wonder if you know - Mius Front Gravi Teams Tactic ? Its a relly simulator kind of RTS where you have very realistic ai situational behaviour and damage models on equiptment etc, the ability to need wire coms links between cmd units between themselfes and their corresponding sub units. An interesting game where you rather lay macro orders and micro the way of doing rather of the actual adjusting positioning and movement every second needed since the ai is capable of suviving instincts on their own. They have poor marketing so i was very puzzled to find them just some months ago but the research and professionism of the game content is spendid. Not to take the hype from the fresh Men of War 2 release tho but maybe a game you find worth looking into since its a niche that u might also like seperately since no direct control features in it. Great Review i am looking foreward buying MoW2 when there will be offline capability i think.

The one bother I have with this game is still how the damn tanks rock back and also it’s not that complicated you can have the same play style as in company of hero’s screw strategy I just wanna see people get mowed down by a MG

So ive been playing it for a bit, and there are impressive things about the game but also less impressive things. Do I recommend it to people? YES, if you are into militar, strategic warfare games, like coh2 or gates of hell or all things battle.

I think they only pushed online to avoid piracy. Just like any game that pushes features like that, this game looks extremely bland and like the other games in the franchise and it's competitors. I'm gonna stay away as well.

I really don’t understand how people are giving this a positive review. The gameplace feels poor especially when compared to men of war, the UI is crap. When you are in a match your can’t even group units together like every other RTS instead they come as pre made groups what you can’t change what just harms using them effectively. The voice actor is horrible and I mean horrible, the units are like a arcade now and die so much slower what takes away the whole bloody point of men of war.

tell me you never played men of war 2 with out telling me you havent played it lol UI is big upgrade from all other men of war games. You can make groups and units die faster then old men of war games. men if war 2 has much bigger battles and its a bloodbath, its more balanced then old men of wars and call to arms, in this game u need atleast some kind of tactics not like call to arms where u can just spam armored cars from start and rush enemy spawn lol

I would like to just urge those who loved assault squad to ignore MOW2. The effects are almost the same, the voice lines, the gunfire sounds like im always listening to it through a brick wall or have cement in my ears its all so muffled, and that if you are brave enough to go into the steam discussions and ask where the other factions are, like japan and britain. Your comment will be taken down, persist like I did for any answer and you will recieve a ban on steam's forums. This game is wearing Assault Squads skin to lure you in, it is a massive trap.

Older MoW games gave tanks HP, just made the bar invisible. When you clicked on a tank there was a clear health indicator on the hud to show where and how damaged it was. Blow it up too much and it couldn't ne repaired. If you hate the bars so much turn on realism mode. It hides them like the older titles.

These are not health bars, these are fuel and ammo bars, tanks have full damage systems (tracks, armor, tower, engine, etc.) and crew health (individual )

@@Nyxson I'm not talking about those. The "damage system" itself functioned as a bar. Too much damage and the tank is unrepairable, ergo it's HP "Bar" empty. MoW2 still has the same damage systems, just the "bar" is now a visible, literal bar unless in realism mode. This is why I think complaining about the bar is a moot, nitpicky and silly complaint in bad faith. But this is based on my own experience in AS2 and noticing how tanks didn't have infinite "HP" even then. Hopefully this makes sense.
