Johnny Gray stumbles around the 1:23-1:24 mark when Barbosa came up behind him and Tanui and Kiprotich were lurking on the outside. Lots of contact in this final.

I met Johnny Gray at the 2000 Olympic Trials. I told him what a courageous race he ran here. I said, “They beat you, but they had to run their guts out!” He replied, “Hey, that’s America.”
