Interesting how Zeng medaled, never remembered seeing this guy before. Dude got some good athleticism, he had this one really fast attack in final that just left the referee saying "oh my.... oh my"

Can anyone maybe give a short run down on how this works? Why is the line attached to them, why are the swords floppy..? I'm baffled and intrigued.

the line is a wire that runs from a button at the tip of the blade to the scoring machine, so the referee can tell when someone hits (their light goes off). the blades are floppy because it would hurt a lot more if they were stiff. Also, some people like them floppier because it is more deceptive. Foil is honestly really complicated but I hope I could answer your question, feel free to ask more lol
